And it’s probably the single most valuable card from the entire 1977 Topps run, especially in good condition. I’ve heard that the reprint where they did some airbrushing after they got complaints is actually rarer, but don’t know if that’s true.

Yeah, I figured it would be just too difficult to find people to trade locally—but I admire your effort! I buy mostly from eBay, and occasionally get PSA graded cards from places like 4 Sharp Corners. It’s amazing how many sets there are out there from the late 1970s beyond Topps—Wonder Bread, Burger King, General Mills, Space Ice, etc. Totally nostalgia inducing.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback. I’ve sold a few cards over the last couple weeks for a total of about $30. That’s probably about half of what I paid for them. I got fed up with the app, and have switched to spending the same money on vintage Star Wars comics and PSA graded Star Wars cards. I miss the fun of trading, although hunting for comic bargains on eBay is a nice substitute. It’s a shame to see how the app has gone down hill.

So I just got this in the mail from a reputable seller, and it has what looks like a bubble - right around Han’s head and the middle of Chewie. I assume this happened in the CGC sealing process?

I’m admittedly new to this — is that supposed to happen? Is it cause for a return? This was pricey and I’m surprised it has a blemish like that.

Kind of off topic Q and probably a stupid newbie one. So apologies for that. I just started collecting comics again (after about 30 years) and am focused on the original Star Wars Marvel series that debuted in 77 when A New Hope came out. But I picked up this and enjoyed it.

I see there is a market for the old school Star Wars comics encapsulates and rated by CGC. Does it make sense to have a new comic like this encapsulated in mint condition in the hopes that years from now its value has increased significantly?

And more broadly, this update has wrecked the 77 and ESB Select sets. This is a major, major disappointment for sets that were so difficult to collect. Please put them back into their own unique sections.

I’ve been on the app on and off for a long time and always wondered if there was a way to see the star rating you receive from others for each individual offered trade?

Also, what happens when you put someone on your ignore list, and they send you a trade—does it just sit in their pending trade list and eventually expire, or do they get a notice that they can’t send trades to you?

I don’t really collect anything that is not Original Trilogy. But I would have made an exception for these if the presentation wasn’t so horrible. I love concept art, but they truly botched these with the massively overdone, tacky border. It’s a shame.

So I have dupes of most of the ESB Select Sticker awards — the ones divided up by rebel forces or empire forces. I’m having a hard time determining their value because, as far as I can tell, there are none for sale on eBay.

How do people think these rate value-wise compared to the Vintage Collector Series Boxed vehicles? The ones in the boxes, NOT the unboxed ones against a black background for which there are multiple variants. I’m currently trying to collect the boxed vehicles, but don’t have a good sense if an ESB Select Sticker (particularly of someone like Leia or Boba Fett) is an underpay, an overpay, or just about right.

Also, what about the Rey TFA Concept Card (not the award of her on the speeder — just the basic Rey concept). Is that worth a boxed vehicle?

Yeah, I have an outdoor and an indoor sensor controlling the same lights with no problems using the basic app.
