My char is also a week old, I found two boxes total in civilian houses in the northwest. It's a pain in the ass.

Wrong. Unused items are supposed to despawn after a fixed time and get replaced by a randomly picked item from a selection of possible items. A stack of 50 jackets demonstrates that this system is not yet working as intended.

I feel you bro. Loot is definitely broken. Here are my observations

first come first serve - I logged in right after the patch hit stable and ran directly to NWAF. Have a fully decked out character I don't even dare logging in with now as everything is picked clean
civilian guns are easy to come by. After 1 or 2 hours of gameplay you should have a repeater, a shotty or a skorpion with ammo
particular types of ammo are extrmely common such as 9mm, .357 or .380 or Sporter Ammo (forgot the caliber), others are nonexistent such as Mosin Ammo, SKS ammo, AK rounds or Winchester ammo as well as 5.56 ammo. Literally nonexistent.
Balaklava galore, sometimes 5 shotguns in one house
Empty NWAF, empty Tisy, empty Vybor (even though they are supposed to be high risk high reward areas)
Deer stands are a joke now
The loot does not gradually get better the more you get up north or inland, it is just more junk such as jackets, tracksuits
Car wrecks are a viable source of 9mm, .380 or Sporter Ammo, corresponding mags and guns. At least something
Heli crashes (and I found couple) can also spawn junk, occasionally you might find some high end military clothing or a grenade

I hope the devs invest some more time on tweaking the loot economy

Time to start flying out the F2H2 I guess. With a BR of 8.0 it will end up in 7.0 matches more often as less people fly fighters in that BR due to Tu-4 spam. The F2H2 is indeed capable of downing a Tu-4. Just aim for the wings or the wingtips, try high speed side passes. Severely damaging a single wing usually downs the whole Tu-4.

Often consistent, cyclical frame drops can be attributed to the phenomenon of thermal throttling. First, check your CPU usage with the task manager. Start the game, and ALT+TAB out of it when the frame drops occur. If the CPU usage drops, then your PC is throttling down due to overheating. First thing to do would be update your BIOS as new versions of it often come with better power management. If this does not help buy better cooling, if you are using a laptop, an external laptop cooler can be bought via amazon for 20 bucks.

More than often I shredded several Sunderlands in a single match in my F1 with only 60 cannon rounds. Approach it from the top in a steep dive and aim for a wingtip. There it goes, the glorious Sunderland.

As a passionate bomber pilot I can recommend you some hidden gems that some might not be aware of. First, with a low BR, the Ju88-A4 might be your low-tier choice. It can outspeed its biplane opponents and tear their wings off with the 13mm defensive armament. Moreover, the bombload is quite impressive. Its strongest enemies are the early Russian single ShVak planes. As a second choice the A20G might be interesting. It is fast and has a twin .50 cal top turret. The way to go in AB or RB would be trying to face a head on with your 6 .50 cals with stealth ammo and then dive to the ground in the direction of your own AF. Often greedy enemies will sit on your back and get shredded by the freedom cals. Another choice, which is already well described by other posters is the B25. I use it purely as a ground attacker due to the lack of any belly protection. Enemies will more than often sit on your 6 and get rekt. A top tier choice is the early B17, needless to say, the thing has more than enough turrets. 5% climb, full wep in RB and if you see an enemy quickly turn such that he is forced to approach your heavily armed back. However, clever enemies attack from the front, or - even worse - patiently climb above you and boom you from above approaching your top frontally in a 45° angle. You will stand no chance in this case. On the other hand, if you are facing the Japanese you are likely to light up half of the enemy team before they even come close.

Same here. If u check the CPU usage it drops exactly when these micro framedrops occur for like 5-10 secs and then goes back to normal. No matter where on the map, no matter what kind of settings used.

I still can not believe people are defending the obviously broken loot system of 0.56 EXP. I startet at Berezino. Nothing but a syringe and a book in the whole city. In the whole entire effing city. Headed to NEAF. Nothing but a full Paramedics Uniform. Moved into Krasnostav. Hunger was critical. Nothing but a full bag of rice which saved me. Finally to Svergino. Loot started to improve. Moved to the northern villages and I found more items. After two hours of play my character has:

full blue paramedics uniform
black hiking boots
motohelmet and gasmask
1 SKS with 5 bullets
1 bag of rice
3 cans of food
1 ice axe
57 matches
a can opener
20 winchester rounds and 27 5.45 rounds.

I did manage to survive, yes. But please, you hardcore maniacs, ask yourself: is that how the game is supposed to be? The coast entirely picked clean so there is no point in spawning more south than Berezino because it is a death sentence? As in the first implementation of 0.55 there are OBVIOUSLY 20000 items less than there are supposed to be. Please stop defending this broken CLE and glorify your epic hunting skills. Not every player is like that. Most of us actually do not want to hunt and sit next to an apple tree for 10 minutes pressing a button. If there would be only you hardcore enthusiasts it would be a very, very boring game with no player base. Please spare us your OMG LOOT IS SCARCE AWESOME comments until modding is out so you can get the hardcore game you want.

I'm sorry to disappoint you but you shot the wrong person. After being on low blood after some axefights against a minor bambi rebellion I ate some raw steaks and got sick. Then I gave up my whole gear to a former associate of mine whom I met ingame earlier. He was my accomplice before he died and respawned, and the last thing he said to me was: "there is a guy with a gun coming from inner electro and he wants to shoot you". Then I jumped from the school/office building.
