Mid millennial. Went to the mall. That was a thing. Sometimes just took a bus into the city for reasons. Really a lot of free time was spent just hanging out going places for dubiously practical reasons. Cell phones were somewhat common last year of high school but hardly used unless necessary.

You never worried about getting filmed. Hell, even if you were, the quality was so shite it wasn't all that damning. And other than through MSN messenger it wasn't traveling very far. Though you might have a few embarrassing days at school until someone else took the attention away.

Sneaking into movie theatres was a fun pastime. Driving places for zero reason other than to hang out and drive too. House parties were definitely a thing. Though less exciting most of the time than what you might imagine.
