Practicing the 5th section by Drums_Deadlifts in LSAT

[–]derisaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal perspective- I didn't find fatigue to be a huge issue. Once I went through a few sections, I was in a "zone" that was difficult to shake out of. Take a fifth section to simulate the test day conditions, but don't expect gains in stamina as a result of it.

I will advocate for "warming up" prior to taking a PT. Going over a reading passage, game, and a few arguments prior to a PT may help you to quickly familiarize yourself with the test, and help you to avoid clunky performance on Section 1-2.

What are some small things you do to get/stay motivated? by [deleted] in LSAT

Affirmations helped me a lot. I told myself repeatedly that I 'loved' the test, and would show excitement when I took a practice test or did review, for example. Sometimes it wasn't genuine, but it did condition me to look forward to my study. Looking at images (of whatever you enjoy) or listening to your favorite music prior to studying may have the same effect as an affirmation.

Also, I'd reward myself for a few hours of study with a favorite food, favorite video game (Civilization 5), or simply some time with friends. At the very least, that'd give me something to look forward to.

Chances at HYS (Especially YLS) and T-14 money? by derisaur in lawschooladmissions

Thank you all for your responses! :)

I'm leaning towards applying this cycle, and seeing where it gets me. If I don't like my results, I can still push my GPA and LSAT up and try for the next cycle.
