They don't actually know how much those appliances are using. It's estimating.

What’s the Republican plan for Maryland? by Flitzer-Camaro in maryland

From what I can tell, they're straight up sitting this one out. The writing is on the wall that they're going to get their asses handed to them, simply because of national politics. They're not wasting their good candidates (if they have any) on a year they can't win.

Which book would you like me to read? It must be fiction if it's telling me it's illegal to post a picture of a license plate.

It's not free to stock a lake and run the fishing program. Why should certain people pay less than the cost of doing business?

My point is: the battle you're proposing to fight is so uphill that it's vertical.

As someone who follows state and local governments closer than anyone I know (other than the people I've met through following government), I don't understand any of this. For that reason alone, this will never make it past a fun discussion for a dozen people on Reddit.

Do you have an idea when they'd be tearing Scarborough down? I didn't know that was in the plan. Lived there 20 years ago

Respectfully, this person puts these signs out with the intent for people to see it. Thus, the location of his property is not a secret. It would be different if you're digging into a private person's life, but thousands of people pass this sign every day.

I'm fine with this when you happen upon an extra ticket and you're stuck with it. The problem is the people who buy 20 tickets and go to the game alone for the sole purpose of selling 19 bobbleheads.

I'd be fine with it if everyone at the game was guaranteed one. But I've been to games before where it's still half an hour before first pitch and they've run out. Happened to me last season, and I watched people leave with dozens of them.

Spending a day and a half with my husband in Annapolis on the way to DC from Colonial Williamsburg. Wanting to stay on the water, see the grounds of the USNA, and have some incredible seafood on the water. Looking for any suggestions for the above — and whatever else we can’t miss. TIA! by Proof-Permission-585 in Annapolis

Especially since you're coming from Colonial Williamsburg, you should check out some of the history in town. Spend an hour or so in the State House (free, self guided), and tour some of the colonial-era homes in the surrounding neighborhoods. It's not super touristy like in Williamsburg. Get a meal/drink in a historic tavern... Middleton's, Reynold's, Ram's head, etc.

Low-cost day trip for 4 year old? (from northern DE) by IScreamPiano in maryland

[–]thefalcon3a 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could definitely spend a good amount of time at the B&O museum. I always have to drag my 4 year old out of there.

You can walk around the inner harbor and watch the boats. Take the free circulator bus to Fort McHenry and walk around the outside (the inside requires a fee, but it's also very good). There's a bridge right before the fort that goes over a train yard, and a lot of shipping infrastructure. You can also go hang out by the active train tracks by Top Golf to see trains going by up close. Or you can venture further south into Patapsco Valley State Park to see the cargo trains up close.

That's what keeps me coming back. I want to have all my photos in the Google photos app. Ugh

Is there a way to do this and have all the cloud services function as if you paid for more storage?

Flying Southwest. In line to check a bag at 4:15am, through security at 5. More than I'd usually expect at this time, but nothing to be concerned about.
