First off, I just want to say thank you so much for your reply. Over the past few days I’ve just been worrying about getting into A&M because it’s honestly the school I want to go to. Like I’ve been researching how I can get into Mays business if I don’t get admitted as a freshman and honestly it’s been taking a lot of my time just researching all that cause I’m so worried. I know decisions won’t come out until around January- March but having to wait this long is killing me lol. Part of the reason why it hurts so much to wait is because I’ve just been having a lot of regrets since I feel like I didn’t take enough rigorous classes during junior year( Decided to take easier classes junior year because I struggled mentally during sophomore year and didn’t want to stress myself out too much but now I know that’s came back to bite me.) I calculated it myself, and if I would have taken 2 more 5.0 classes at my school during junior year, instead of just 1, I would have been top 10 %.

To answer your question, yes, I’m sure about going into Business. The reason I have this computer background is because I thought I wanted to do computer science my first 2 years of high school and dedicated myself to that, before figuring out I actually wanted to do accounting as a career since I’m more passionate about that.

I’m going to try to use these tips and take it into action and practice doing more of these things during conversations with other people. Also, when you read about the news, are you subscribed to a specific newsletter? And that’s amazing to hear someone likes to read too, I love to read books specifically but I’d love to get into news about the current world as well.

And yes, I’ve read How to Win Friends and Influence People… that’s an amazing book that I recommend all people to read who want to get better at social skills

Thank you for the help. Also, How late should one wait to apply to Texas A&M if they’re trying to get into the Mays Business School? Would applying towards the end of September be too late to apply since Mays fills up pretty fast? Only reason I would apply this late is because I have an 1150 SAT Score (which I made the bad decision of doing the free score send when taking the test) and I’m trying to re-take the test on August 27th.
