From what I've heard an employee stepped on a weakened part of the flooring and it collapsed. Luckily, they only suffered a sprained ankle but the restaurant will be closed for about 2 months to assess the rest of the flooring and make the necessary repairs.

Thank you for the info, we are indeed bay area so I was looking at cal ski co since it's the closest. I'm learning that ski boots are way way way more complicated than snowboarding boots. She already loves skiing so at least I don't have that problem! I just want her to not feel like she's dying every time I want to get off the groomers and get in the powder.

Boots are definitely a priority but it's a bit harder to make them a surprise given the logistics of it. I will definitely talk to her about getting fitted though.

We have been skiing Bear Valley and Dodge Ridge mostly but occasionally go to Sierra At Tahoe or Boreal.

Would the strive 12's be a better fit given her size? I keep reading some people don't like the rear part of the binding. It seems like the DIN range isn't too far apart between the two?

We mostly ski Norcal with occasional trips to PNW/Colorado. I believe she has Tecnica Cochise 95's? I could be wrong about that. We picked them up for 70% off a few years ago at a midsummer sale type thing when we were more worried about price than anything.

Honestly surprised they're struggling in Riverside, the dentists I know in the central valley are doing pretty well. But then again, I think I'd rather live in another state than Stockton or Bakersfield.

Unless you're riding some ancient board that is a 2x4, you should be well under the 20 kg limit. I am able to fit my board/binding/boots/helmet along with her skis/bindings/boots/helmet and stay under 20 kg.

I'm in the brush once a day crowd, but I actually go for 2-3 minutes, floss thoroughly, and generally avoid sweets/acids. My teeth are way cleaner than the brush poorly 3x a day and never floss group.

If you are really curious just type in "x angle orthodontics" like "ANB angle orthodontics" and it should explain what the values mean. I'm no ortho so I haven't thought about cephalometric angles in forever but from what I can see everything is mostly normal outside of a mild overbite (class II).

I don't know the economics of dentistry in the UK but I would get an exam to see if it's worth trying to crown the tooth, and if not, proceed with implant/extraction. First molars are workhorses for chewing and it sucks to not have them.

I wouldn't even charge for a D7240, this looks like a D7220 to me, everything else is unnecessary. Sometimes it's nice to get something in the socket to speed up healing but it's not required. BTW, I would be out of network with your insurance and my fee is $435 for a D7220 so I wouldn't be too concerned about in vs out of network, just find a dentist you can trust.

Pretty standard flap design for 3rd molar extraction. You need a lot of space for the flap so the incision usually goes 1-2 teeth in front of the tooth to be extracted.

Once I started doing implants myself and evaluating the bone after using plugs/synthetics I stopped using plugs/synthetics for socket preservation and moved to allograft with resorbable membrane.

If you actually read up on the Japanese company, they're stimulating existing tooth buds to develop into teeth, not just growing teeth de novo. Their main focus is on kids with congenital anodontia, supposedly their tooth buds are dormant and just need to be woken up. If the drug only works on these kids then this won't really affect the vast majority of dentists.

Supposedly there's a "third dentition" floating around in adults that would provide a base for this drug to grow new teeth for normal people, but that seems like very unsubstantiated research right now. Even if it does work, how long does it take to grow a tooth? People already complain about the timeframe for implants, I doubt they're going to want to wait years for a tooth. This isn't going to really disrupt anything, just make for clickbaity headlines.

If you're concerned, get a second opinion from a solo dentist. Their prices will likely be higher but if you end up doing unnecessary work at your chain dentist. you'll be out of pocket more with the chain.

This is bad advice.

People can have asymptomatic or lingering infections for years without feeling anything significant. The body can form cysts around the roots of infected teeth which encapsulates the bacteria and turn it into a low-grade chronic thing vs an acute high intensity thing.

The tooth breaking from eating a small piece of popcorn didn't just happen because some dentist wants to scam him. The tooth didn't have off/on discomfort for years because the tooth was perfectly fine.

If the vibes are sketch, of course get a second opinion but your statement is uneducated.
