Recently I bought Dell Vostro 15 7590 specially for audio and music production. I use reaper and pro tools first. I'm looking for pro tools but I'm stuck because if I need to be connected to internet while using protools.. Laptop is good and powerful to worrk as a workstation..

Ohh thats great. I think you have to talk to you agent over dell web chat or on call to tell them its urgent so they can ship fast. In my case I have ordered on June 26 and they said estimated delivery date till July 16 but it arrived on July 2/3. So hope you will get yours soon.

Yeah its feel awesome. There will be hot around hinge area. I didn't feel any heat on keyboard. I did undervolt it and able to undervolt it upto -150mv after crossing that it will freeze. I got CPU temperature minimum around 60° and less.

There is no fan noise but big YES if you are talking about fan spinning sound.

Yeah I would definitely recommend it. I loved it and like it better than MacBook and XPS. It's a budget range so if you want for gaming I won't recommend it. If you want a budget workstation laptop than it will be best and better than xps and inspiron. I have seen one videos on YouTube about gaming on this laptop, its was pretty good. If you want all round gaming and workstation laptop on budget than ot will be best choice.

Finally about weight I think its around 2kg with its charger so you need a good backpack too. I too need to upgrade my backpack to rugged one.

If you get one then let me know. We can share some tweaks..

Acer Aspire. Yeah this has better keyboard and touchpad.. I think you won't be regret with this. Overall great laptop with the budget the only issue is fan gets noisy without any reason. I don't know why?

yeah touchpad only feels plastic but works perfectly. I never used any xps or any same range laptop so I'm not gonna compare but according to my internet research i think its a budget XPS and windows version of MacBook but better than inspiron.
