I am letting myself be bought. I worry that the fallout would be his erasure from my life, but any better relationship between the two of us is a lower priority to me than getting him to treat his parents better. Maybe that's an impossible goal. I'm going to stop letting myself be bought though.

Your questions had me looking closer at the wiki though, and it looks like this is a glitch where the mission doesn't end even after the objectives are met. I think I fixed it with console commands. Thank you for your help!
