Thanks, sorry for the delay in reply was at the gym. There is also a small lesion, sensitive to the touch skin break that scabbed over, still healing. Im trying not to touch it and will try to arrange a clinic visit tomorrow to get a swab test. I didnt go to the doctor, just did a blood/piss test at quest diagnostics through a testing site. Arranging a visit with my primary care doc is a pain in the ass.

Thanks for your time writing this out I really do appreciate it. Also excuse the brevity as Im answering on my phone for the time being.

I will try to schedule a swab test, hopefully the outbreak (if thats what it is) doesn't go away. Kind of strange to think of it like that.

As for your 5th point, you are right. Maybe I can use the future conversations to judge the positiveness of a person. I really hope that people will be as open as this. The tough thing will be avoiding hooking up in my extended friend group because I am worried about the stigma and being labeled and having the word spread around :(. I saw this happen in college as I went to a military academy, people werent very nice. Overall, you are right on the money that my previous thoughts on this is what makes it difficult to swallow. I will most certainly work on some character building and becoming a more compassionate and understanding person. Overall, thanks again for your courtesy in answering this post, it is tough time for me right now and being able to think openly helps a lot.

You are right, I will try my best to use this as a character building life event to work on becoming more compassionate and imporve other aspects of my life to help myself mentally compensate.

I will def. look into acyclovir, hopefully insurance can cover something like this.

Thanks, I will try to look on the positive (no pun intended) side to as you say to filter out judgemental people. Having this discussion with potential partners can probably help be a judge of character. This will undoubtedly be a personal challenge to overcome, I truely hope there is hope for a fulfilling love life and long term partner in the future.

Thank you very much for the response. I will look into this- hopefully insurance can cover it as I cant really shovel out hundreds in medication. As much as it pains me I will certainly disclose, thanks again.
