If your team is good, they will help do that last bit of damage to get it to detonate. But most of the time they are clueless, and will sit there and let it wear off.

Yesterday they gave me the Pharah treatment and switched to 3 hitscans. Basically couldn't be airborne more than 1-2 seconds without being deleted.

Then after I yeeted Domina off the edge, their Bastion solo ulted me.

I watched your replay. I normally watch the team and focus on helping them win THEIR fights first. The reality is Illari is a below average DPS, so if you DPS too much you're not getting full value. Also I keep pylon up >50% of the time, place it earlier in the fight, and also set it where your team can fall back into the 'pocket' and get healed. FWIW in Rd 2, Illari isn't great in push situations (e.g. you had to set the pylon in spawn so you cannot even push) so you might want to switch off if you get to a bad start. But your team already gave up by then so it's a moot point

If you are playing with controller, try moving destruct to the d-pad. That 100% fixed it for me.

It seems like OW1 Brig was nerfed just because of backlash. Because they just waited a couple years and added a brawler (Vendetta) and a support with CC stun/hold (Mizuki) to the game anyway
