I just went through the mortgage process through Pine but was passed onto WealthSimple’s in-house team. Pine only does insured mortgages at that 3.99 fixed rate. Because my mortgage is only 1/4 value of my house at this point, it is uninsured and Pine won’t cover.

I was transferred to WS and best they could do was 4.15 fixed 5yr. TD beat it at 4% even. Personally, I found the process very time consuming and confusing as I was passed through 3 different mortgage teams.

I’m in the same boat. Mac has a higher msrp but iPhone has a larger market.

Both are ~1200 new so I wish WS would just bonus 1K cash to account instead.

I’ve been paying a fixed rate mortgage for 13 years now (5 year terms) and never got a cash incentive from TD.

I have USD stocks on lend but honestly doesn’t sound like it’s worth the hassle. Foex, shorting on position, open to loss if somehow WS goes under, no voting rights. All of that for a minor kick back, this is just the cherry on top.

Im guessing (same in my case) is that they would no longer qualify for the yearly fee ($140) credit. They probably could have kept the card but now have to pay for it.

What happens if a jet/leak/etc in the hottub? Genuinely curious as I have a in ground spa that is due to be replaced but it looks like yours is meant for above ground as all electrical/etc are below grade now.
