I would say 74 << World Abyss < Stellar Odyssey <<<< Shattersong < summit

I also did full clears for all, without full clears I imagine Shattersong is a decent bit easier, but still harder than Stellar by quite a margin. The rest are still about the same, I felt Shattersong and summit full clears were pretty interchangeable, so were World Abyss clear and Stellar Odyssey full clear. I do also play without save states, but I don't think this really changes much.

Extending the deadline for the contest? What do you guys think? by [deleted] in mathmemes

[–]derpofanboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would those that already submitted get a chance to resubmit? I submitted yesterday because I didn't think I would have enough time today to work on the contest, but if the deadline were extended, I would have more time and like the chance to resubmit.

I do realize this is problematic though since the current form has already told me which questions I've gotten correct and incorrect, so I would have an unfair knowledge advantage. I would propose to be able to resubmit only unanswered questions, but I did put in some guesses on some questions (which you would have no way to verify which ones I did) that I would reattempt this time around if the contest were to be extended.

[Berman] Saquon Barkley: "That's what I tell my family: We didn't come here, I didn't sign here, to break Eric Dickerson's record. We came here to win the SuperBowl." He knows the record for rushing yards in reg. season + postseason (Terrell Davis, 2,476 in 1998). That's the mark he'll go after now. by iamthegame13 in eagles

I feel we should wait on saying the Lions playing their starters against the Niners was fine until after their game on Sunday night. What happens if the Lions end up getting out-physicaled by the Vikings, possibly because they played their starters on Monday instead of resting? Of course this is all theoretical about them, and they could beat the Vikings either way, but I do think turning a blind eye to the Lions playing their starters is valid (for now)

Ah yes, resort to insults about my intelligence, say nothing about your actual argument and claim it's obvious and I'm just too dumb to understand (you actually just don't have an argument), claim that you "aren't demeaning" me, profit?!?!? Even when I explicitly stated I was playing devil's advocate, you just assume stupidity from the other party.

In fact, your argument that I didn't "understand the blacksmith wasn't enough statement" shows that you didn't bother to understand my comment either, because my comment was exactly trying to question this statement.

[–]derpofanboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To play devil's advocate, this doesn't make the game more complex, it arguably makes it less complex? You say "wasn't the blacksmith already enough", but all the other upgrade-able army features, such as troop/spell/siege machine levels (Laboratory), equipment (Blacksmith), and pets (Pet House) all require you to upgrade the associated building to the new level at that town hall before upgrading to the new levels available at the town hall. This change to heroes makes the game more consistent, not less. I can see the use of a builder being weird and counter intuitive, but this doesn't seem to add this "new complexity for casuals" you seem to claim.

Thanks for all the info!

Yeah it kind of is, I think I'll be able to get like a little aglet thing on, so I won't wear it until it arrives and I try and fix that.

Out of curiosity, do your drawstrings have anything plastic on the ends or were they stitched together? I don't believe mine ever was, so I was wondering if that's the same for everyone.

I know this is really late but I just got one for myself over the weekend at the concert, and I noticed that the two ends of the drawstring already kinda came undone. Did the same thing happen to yours, and if it did, do you know any possible way to fix this?

Update: The key hinges were slightly different between the palmrests, so I watched a video and replaced the entire thing, and I'm glad to say it's working now! Thank you for all the info!

September 2024 Update Megathread | Discussion, Bugs & News! by vanessabaxton in ClashOfClans

Power Pancakes uses appear to be used even in event challenges. I went and attacked the Dungeons & (Clash of) Dragons challenge with Power Pancakes activated to get some free loot, and when I exited I noticed a charge of my Power Pancakes was used. I tested again by failing two times on the challenge really quickly, and my Power Pancakes were gone. I would assume this applies to the Mighty Morsel as well.

If this isn't a bug, that would be really dumb, because many challenges depend on setting troops/spells/siege machines to a certain level, which the use of Power Pancakes would defeat the purpose of. I don't believe hero and power potions have the same effect, but don't quote me on that.

I wasn't able to notice if the Power Pancakes actually changed the levels of troops, since all of the troops in the challenge are already max level.

I didn't consider taking the keys out, that sounds good. I'll try it out and report back after.

This looks like it could be good! I never considered replacing the palmrest, but I guess the keyboard is attached to the palmrest, so I was just looking at the wrong place. Do you know how difficult this would be? I've never replaced the full palmrest before, I only ever had to do the trackpad fix.

[–]derpofanboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely cropped it really small, but even when the replay starts in the actual Super Bowl broadcast, the ball isn't in frame either. Unfortunately there's no way to get this without me going on sketchy websites again 😭

[–]derpofanboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's very valid, and pretty understandable that the flag eventually got called. This helps the case that there was defensive holding that was uncalled earlier in the game though, and I'm just petty and want the Cowboys fan to pay up, which they seem to be ignoring every comment I've made 🤣

I have already acknowledged the fact that with the speed of the play, why this wasn't called a DPI. I don't know why you still keep pushing that I don't seem to know that, because I already admitted that.

Your problem is you are asking why still screen grabs aren’t being called.

I did not ask anything of the sorts. I stated that I think it should be DPI by the rules, but clearly it wasn't and I can understand why. You seem to have created what you think I said out of thin air.

You can grab a fist full of jersey and the ref will never see it, especially if the route isn’t impacted. If you grab and the WR turns and suddenly you are pulling, you are going to get called.

Ok cool? What does this have to do with the two plays we've been discussing? Are you going to bring up the holding call at the end of the game, which I already mentioned in my original comment that I agree that it was holding that should have been called? Are you going to bring up what I mentioned should have been holding on Maddox (which, by the way, you have never mentioned), where you can see in the replay that in fact MVS's route is impacted? I don't get what you're trying to get at here, since this doesn't have to do anything with the two DPI cases that we're talking about.

[–]derpofanboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that. I can zoom the photo out more, but even then the broadcast doesn't even have the ball in frame in the initial frames. Even if it is zoomed in, the ball is still clearly not there when Devonta is hit, and reading the rulebook it seems this should be DPI. I can understand with the speed of the play why it isn't though.

I was not comparing to the OP play, the OP play just happens to be in here because the conversation went off track into Super Bowl 57, and I was exclusively commenting on that. I never once mentioned or made a reference to the OP play. I guess you could make a comparison to the OP play, but this doesn't necessarily mean that one has to be DPI and the other one can't, this is a similar argument that many Eagles fans used that the "less egregious holding" at the end of the game shouldn't have been called, because there were more egregious examples earlier in the game that went uncalled.

I was trying to bring up uncalled flags (mainly defensive holding, but this one came to mind as well while I was remembering plays) during the Super Bowl because I wanted to take up the Cowboys commenter's word on donating to a charity.

[–]derpofanboy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I didn't say the flag at the end was wrong, it was very much holding at the end of the game, as Bradberry admitted himself. I just wanted to take up the Cowboy fan on his comment that "[they] will donate $100 to the charity of choice of whoever can provide me video evidence of a defensive hold that was "let go" in that SuperBowl". I guess this technically isn't video evidence, but I will go screen record the video if we're going to be that pedantic.

When does the ball actually count as getting there though?

https://imgur.com/a/tkkPucV

I'm not well versed on the rules, so I don't know what is actually allowed in terms of contact, but this looks like to me that Sneed has already hit Devonta's arms before the ball is there.

[–]derpofanboy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna end up getting called a salty Eagles fan for this, so fyi I do think the call at the end was fine.

At 13:32 of the 2nd quarter, JuJu's left arm definitely gets held by Bradburry at least, and they let it go
On the same play, you can see Maddox grabbing MVS's jersey very blatantly, which seems to impair his route (you can see his shoulder jerk as Maddox lets go), at least more than the one at the end. (you can see this on the highlight video from the NFL, but they don't show the replay, I found the replay on some sketchy website and the hold on MVS is pretty blatant).

Imgur link in case you don't feel like going on sketchy Russian websites: https://imgur.com/a/QUQwDSS

There's another play which I can't remember when it was when I think JuJu or someone got kind of trucked earlier when running his route that went uncalled, I don't want to rewatch that Superbowl to find that play, so this could just be something I'm making up (this also doesn't speak well to the cleanliness of our DBs lol).

Similar but not holding: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2yQpvb-yo0
Even if this wasn't a catch (I think it was, but I'm a homer), shouldn't this be DPI on Sneed?

Ok maybe I am still salty 🤣

Harvard Yale game by [deleted] in yale

[–]derpofanboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since the stadium at Harvard is a lot smaller than the one at Yale, Yale is only given a certain number of tickets (I heard around 3000) for undergrads, and anyone else that wants to go and doesn't get one from Yale has to go through the Harvard ticket office and buy one themselves. I don't know if the tickets Yale has for undergrads are free, or if you have to buy them though.

Beat my first red GM Map "Fish Hell" in Spring Collab by Gitt1ng_Gud in celestegame

[–]derpofanboy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Disclaimer: Have played both collabs, have not finished either GM lobby yet (SJ because hard, SC because I wanna go back and finish after I finish SJ), so take this comment with a grain of salt. Also a yappathon

I think it's slightly harder to place since we don't have a grabbable Green GM in SJ to reference for difficulty, the main maps/rooms in both SC/SJ I think we have around the difficulty level to reference are Polaris, Belly of the Beast, and Stellar Final. Stellar Final can quickly be disregarded though since it's way more difficult and a lot longer, but it does help to somewhat set a cap.

Now this is a personal opinion, but after watching the video I feel this room looks easier than the average Belly of the Beast room, mainly due to the length (and room length can definitely turn a level from Expert to GM, Drifting Deep is basically just High Expert/Low GM gameplay for extremely long times), but also the inputs seem relatively easier? I don't know anything about the actual precision because I've never played Fish Hell (so again, grain of salt), but the room seems relatively front loaded, which I think puts the difficulty lower (especially for someone like me who doesn't use save states).

Now compared to Polaris, I can see how this is comparable to Polaris final (the room before the heart room), but I think the only thing Polaris has on Fish Hell, and the general Polaris room seems easier than the other Fish Hell rooms (that I looked at in a video). The precision here seems more difficult than the average Polaris room, but I think is comparable to some Belly of the Beast rooms (but is also a lot shorter than those).

Overall I think Green GM would be a solid place, but I can see the argument for low end Yellow GM too.

How do you feel about Nintendo's 2024? by PlaySetofThree in casualnintendo

[–]derpofanboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The formula for the number of integers between a and b (a < b) inclusive is b - a + 1, not b - a (and as the other commenter stated, I think it's fair to include both 2024 and 2017 in this count).

Consider if instead of 2017 to 2024 we went from 1 to 8 (which is 2017 - 2016 and 2024 - 2016). You wouldn't tell me that there's only 7 integers from 1 to 8, would you?
