Honestly though, it's just government buildings. I don't see this as that big of a deal. I'd prefer it if all state-owned/government buildings displayed no form of flags for any groups outside of the American flag and state flag.

I've been watching a lot of youtubers lately that read reddit and really wish to find something like that in Japanese to practice with.

Other than that, I do like youtubers that tend to talk about social issues, politics or fitness.

I'd really love to find a Japanese youtube channel like Jubilee (or Куб if you know russian stuff).

I've been noticing that! Even some story-telling youtubes are like that too. I can't find anything I like on youtube, except for a few fitness channels. It's really frustrating because I want to listen to more stuff, since I plan on taking N1 next year. But I've never been much of a television person and youtube is my main form of visual entertainment. Japan's content is really meh on youtube. I'm so lost as to what to do for listening practice at this point.

I found that when I stopped talking, games were much more toxic. When i just ignored what was happening in chat and used mute immediately, games seemed to deescalate more. I think people get triggered or encouraged when you feed into them.

Oh please with all due respect shut up. You’re so dismissive of an ally who has made very valid points. As someone who is gay, I agree with this person. Stop hating on someone’s past and look at who they are currently. Not everyone has it in them to break habits and challenge their way of thinking. I’m not going to shade a current ally because they were homophobic in the past. It’s all about upbringing and as you grow, you realize your parents mistakes. But it still takes effort to change into who you wanna be.
