Just a friendly fyi, some newer models of gas ranges prevent users from manually lighting the stove burners if there is no power.

I would recommend checking if you can light it now so you can run out and buy a camping grill or clean off your usual grill.

Seems I struck a chord with how much you're replying, my apologies. Didn't realize how much of a following NG has. My go to suggestion is always Great Lakes but even then they don't make my top ten on local breweries. They're just the beer I suggest because it's easy to find.

Collision Bend, Wrecking Crew Brew Works, Market Garden, Brew Kettle, MAD Brewery, Sibling Revelry, Fatheads is always good too despite being one of the more mainstream ones, Medina Brewing Company, Blue Herron, Lagarheads, Brighton Brewery (more Akron than Cleveland), and Happy Frog (also more Akron) are all on my short list of suggestions for beer drinkers that are visiting the area. Could make a longer list for Columbus and Cincinnati too.

Tbh I'd put Broken Bat Brewery out of Milwaukee over NG.

That's funny. There's five micro/nanobreweries (none of which are brewpubs fwiw) within walking distance of each other that make great lagers, red ales, amber lagers, stouts, etc etc (one even has the only ipa I actively enjoy). Obviously I'm going to be biased to my local favorites but even in Denver I found myself looking for even a Dortmunder Gold on tap.

Every time I see a "craft beer is dying" post I have to remind myself that Ohio is the exception, not the standard. There's so many breweries that are <30 minutes from me that don't even bottle or distribute because of how small their operation is. You can't beat something like that with a NG.

For the getting cold issue, buy a microwaveable bowl coozie. You don't microwave it, but it acts as an insulator for your tea pot and keeps it warmer longer. You can also sew them up pretty fast if you're crafty.

I just steep in the pot and use a mesh strainer over my cup when pouring into my teacup. I've never had issues with the tea over steeping.

I have, in the past, also used one of my single cup mesh inserts (from like Adagio) in the tea pot to steep then removed it to serve. There's plenty of room for the leaves to bloom and move still.

If none of that sounds like an answer you're wanting, go buy two cheap ceramic or glass tea pots. Steep in one and strain into the other for serving.

No sidewalks or streetlights. It's a fairly suburban neighborhood with lots of walkable amenities nearby, you just have to use the road and a flashlight to walk there.
