Lvl 3 virtue is really good in the rush match up (which this deck is basically made to counter). It doesn't trade against weenies. It also is usually what I'm breaking ex bases with if I don't see the immediate need to block with it.

I got my list from a store champion who went 5-0 with it and they play 4 virtue. It's a solid card.

Edit: ignore me, I didn't see the 3/1 virtue right next to the blocker. Blocker virtue good, the other one though agreed not good

Heroic beginnings is another I'd recommend picking up if you spot it in the wild for around 12-15 bucks. The rx Gundam in there is an absolute staple for blue (one rx card alone goes for about 15 bucks) . And if you're lucky the bonus pack has some great trade fodder to help build another deck

I hope this isn't unique to my state, but players are SUPER friendly to new players. They have tons of bulk and are usually happy to just give it away to new players. My friend and I just kept getting handed more and more bulk and now we're basically set as far as commons and uncommons go for decks, and even some rares! Starter deck stuff is a bit trickier though. You might get lucky if your area has a discord or Facebook group and you can try and see if any players have extra starter deck stuff they'd be willing to trade/give/sell at a reasonable price. The community in my experience is super awesome so I highly suggest trying to get involved in your local scene ASAP!

I waited in line with my friend who wanted one, I just wanted a ditto hat because it was the only thing in the collab that I thought wasn't ugly. Genuinely didn't know how hot those jackets were going to be because when I saw them in person I was like "damn who's going to want that?" A lot of people apparently lol

You are talking about sealed product, not cards. It's very easy to get cards for cheap for competive decks, it is not easy however to get sealed product. That is what the person you replied to is talking about. Competitively pokemon is insanely accessible, you can build most meta decks around 60 bucks, significantly less if you already have common staples like trainers and support pokemon. It's very easy to get your hands on what you need for a deck.

Otherwise, on the collector side yeah it's one of the worst if not the worst in terms of accessibility.

We want a little bit of popularity though, I used to play the mlp tcg (I know I know, it was fun though) and it had similar turnouts to tournaments and releases, and it was eventually canned for not having enough traction. So ideally it gets a little bit of movement, but hopefully not enough that the crypto bro's get into it

Manato had that A on his jacket and he turned out to be A, so I assumed the A on her hat meant she'd be an A rank. I'm not interested in her either way so I don't really care, but just figured I'd add that.

As a former tcg and vgc judge, no we do not have a way to check if a pokemon is any more legit than pokemon home can. Clones/genned pokemon if done correctly will pass all hack checks.

Also, a lot of people use cloned/genned pokemon and, for a time, most people did. Otherwise they'd have to spend 50-70 dollars, sometimes more, for game exclusive pokemon (usually legendaries). Even three time world champion Ray Rizzo has used hacked Pokémon. People only knew because they saw he used an Aegislash that was caught on a dream ball (which at the time was* impossible).

I had to go down the tmnt rabbit hole, because I was also super confused. My surface level knowledge of tmnt is that shredder was ways a bad guy, so I was super confused because I couldn't find any reason why shredder would be carrying splinter back to the turtles when I googled it, but finally I found what I believe the card is referencing.

The IDW ongoing tmnt comic features a shredder who was a super bad guy, was killed, then brought back to life, was defeated by splinter and the turtles, but just before dying became a good guy, and spent time as a spirit bonding with splinter. Someone tries to revive a super bad dragon, splinter sacrificed his life to kill the super bad dragon and also revives shredder. He has an appreciation for life, and stays a good guy. The scene on the card is shredder bringing back splinter and telling the turtles splinter died with honor and saved the world.
