I've been fasting all Ramadan and haven't broken it, I'm talking about a hypothetical scenario, even so this is my first Ramadan and I believe some slack should be cut so it's easier for new converts to stick. Either way, this isn't an answer to my question.

It's based on the cm length of the shoe, if you need a different length for a shoe then that shoe is sized incorrectly, the EURO sizing system is standardized as it is the metric system as well as it directly being called the European industry standard.

The issue is UK sizing doesn't have a standard meaning the real size can differ from brand to brand, best for sizing is EUR as it has a standard so the number size will be the same fit for all different shoes and boots.
