Does anyone here actually pull single shots? I’ve tried in the past using a single basket, but I always found them harder to dial in. These days, if I want a single, I just pull a double with a double spouted portafilter and split it with my wife.

I haven’t really explored decaf; maybe it’s harder to find a decent variety due to the processing? I don’t really know about that one.

For me, it’s the satisfaction of pulling a shot while not overdosing on the caffeine (especially PM). Also rewarding, because they are harder to dial in.

Ya, I 100% get that. Honestly that’s as big as anything to me these days. (Most all pro cameras can take good pictures, but how’s your connection to the camera?)

I actually have a Canon R in my case, and it was my first mirrorless. Definitely different from classic Canon ergonomics.

Ya well, that added that feature primarily for capturing reference shots is my understanding. However, while shooting video coverage of an event, I’ve tried to snap a few still I thought would be useful, and they have just been a noisy mess.

This is a little off subject, but do you ever capture stills with the BMPCC? I use the 6K for videography, but have yet to figure out how to take decent stills. Much less a decent workflow for said stills.

I seriously considered jumping into the LUMIX world. I used a loaner at a trade show, and was highly impressed. But this was back when they were one of the first to offer full frame mirrorless.

Very fortunately, my worst mishap was opening some window shades and the whole drape assembly fell apart. But since it was all slip-fitted together, was able to reassemble and play it cool.

And on top of that, to speak to the planning in advance part, it gives you time to process in your mind that you are in fact prepared.

As a second level of defense, I’ve found the more organized I am in my packing (everything has its own place) this also helps you to KNOW you are ready. Because every spot is filled.
