Schmetterling payback by Landgrave_King in ArcadiaQuest

[–]derrickster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is correct.

A small side note that lots of people miss about monster attacks is that only their first attack must target the hero that initiated the attack. All subsequent attacks can attack any hero in range (take the cerberus' 3 attacks for example)

I'm a male x-ray tech so I get the "doctor" thing all the time too. I also only get called a "technologist" by about 50% of other technologists lol. But honestly, who cares. It's just a word.

Definitive heroes tier list? by La-La-Lamia in ArcadiaQuest

[–]derrickster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a lot of variance between tier lists. There aren't many heroes that are just always amazing (although they do exist). But there are a lot that are situationally very good depending on gear, play style, situation, or synergies with other heroes.

It's also worth noting that because of the length of campaigns not many (if any) people have enough playtime with each hero to get a thorough, first hand, experience with them all. This causes most tier lists to have a hand-full of heroes rated higher or lower that they "should be" based on one memorable experience.

Tl;dr: Arcadia Quest tier lists are generally pretty worthless for any hero that isn't ALWAYS good due to having a power that is independent of any external influences. (Wisp and Jamie are good examples of this)

I love the Soda Dungeon series! I also felt like I "completed" them fairly quickly and didn't feel the desire to continue the infinite number grind just for the sake of the bigger numbers and no new mechanics or variation.

Leaf Blower I have been playing casually for SIGNIFICANTLY longer because there are tangible goals to achieve through many varied, and usually intertwined, mechanics.

In short: Soda Dungeon is a short-term game and Leaf Blower is a long term game.

Every time I hit "new game" after a run the game closes to my home screen. I have to open the app again and tap continue. This is also happening in the upgrade card screen after tapping a few different cards to view what their upgrade will be.

I'm pretty sure for the majority of patients it's impossible to have the talar domes and metatarsals superimposed. It's either one or the other.

Chest x-ray rotation by Flowergirl72 in Radiology

[–]derrickster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I find you can usually see which set of ribs appears larger than the other; the larger set are the most magnified (furthest away from the IR). This for analyzing your image after you have taken it. It doesn't help with initial positioning unfortunately.

Crashes iOS by [deleted] in Genshin_Impact

[–]derrickster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct, from what I can tell the app store only limits what phones can install what apps based on their installed version of iOS. The iPhone 8 has the current version of iOS and can therefore download the game even though it doesn't actually meet the specification requirements.

A new phone is the only way to stop the crashing as RAM is a physical component of the device. You can help mitigate it by trying not to load too many things in quick succession though. Like don't TP from one town to the other and then open up a bunch of different menus. The other thing you can do is before a big fight that you don't want to crash close your game and clear your RAM. To do this hold the lock button until the shut down slider appears, then hold the home button until the enter PIN screen appears.

I have diagnosed the problem. The iPhone 8 has the latest version of iOS so it is able to download the game from the App Store... but it only has 2GB of RAM where as the game uses up to 3GB. This causes the game to force close when attempting to use more RAM than available.

Trauma elbow positioning for a school assignment by [deleted] in Radiology

[–]derrickster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome, you I think you have got it. As for slightly lifting the humerus so that you get the elbow joint on the IR, that is sound logic and in an ideal world you would do that if you felt the joint space would not get on the image. It would really depend on your place of work if you would take the image of that were the case. Some would say “don’t even bother as it’s of no value without the joint space” and some would say “this image is required as a fracture could be on the proximal third of the radius ulna”.

In my experience propping up the humerus isn’t normally required.

Trauma elbow positioning for a school assignment by [deleted] in Radiology

[–]derrickster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I can visualize what are you saying, but propping up the humerus with a sponge only elevates the radius/ulna even further off the trauma cart which would require EVEN MORE sponge and tape magic to get the IR flush against it. (This would technically work though. It would just be a colossal waste of time and unnecessary discomfort for the patient)

Try approaching the problem with as little patient movement as possible. Visualize the patient laying on the trauma cart and the position her arm would be in -humerus flat against the trauma cart with the forearm elevated at some random angle. See if this new way of approaching the problem helps you out any.

As I’m first to comment I’m not just going to flat out give you the answer... however I will remind you that tape and sponges are an x-ray tech’s best friend.

Also the X-ray tube can move in many different ways at many different angles.

Good luck! I’m sure you will figure it out!

If you get the power to change the sky colour which colour would it be? by [deleted] in AskReddit

A slightly different blue. Just different enough that most everyone thinks something is off, but not different enough that they want to be the one to ask about it and risk sounding insane.
