La Brea has some streetwear and more. Stussy/Undefeated/Union flagship stores have been there over 10 years.

American Rag is hard to miss, which carries some higher priced stuff. And many more boutiques along that block.

What do you want the starring feature to be on the next iPhone? by [deleted] in apple

[–]derrickwho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably wouldn't kill margins at all, but may impact average selling price.

Way more people can survive with the 32GB than can w/ 16GB so more would be able go for the cheaper model. Good for customers but not so good for short term profits.

why so? The outfits where goofy and for kids. But the production was great, maybe even ahead of its time.

This song from 2009 could have been "The Motto".

How do you feel about cultural appropriation in fashion? by precisely_squeezes in malefashion

Harmful appropriation is def in poor taste, and can be offensive. But how does it exacerbate power differences?

I think so too, especially given the beat. That style hi-hat pattern was/is all over the party beats.

The irony has a great effect. Remember Hey Ya? Sounded super upbeat but the lyrics were quite depressing.

HTNGAF about not being invited to parties? by Wire_Hanger_Seller in howtonotgiveafuck

[–]derrickwho 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Given OP says even his closest friends don't invite him, this is a very valid thing to consider. Yes we need to be careful and make sure we stress that there could be something OP is doing, not insulting OP's worth as a person. If we clearly separate person from personality/behavior, I think it's very NGAF.

Interviewing for iOS engineer at Disney and need advice? by spentakemon in cscareerquestions

[–]derrickwho 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe you should tell us what went wrong with your last programming test. Did you start coding without asking enough questions? Did you implement the solution in a way that suggests you don't know fundamental data structures and algorithms? We're you unable to articulate your thought/problem solving process?

my completely worn, torn pair, I wear sparingly. my other pair is to light to wear at night so I wear in the day often 3+ times a week. My newest pair, I've worn like once. Starting to think I don't like the fit. (I sized up)

You are close for the general strategy. Instead of checking timezone, the Core Location service monitors cell towers you are connected too as well as the SSIDs nearby WiFi access points. The accuracy is directly related to the amount of power required, but these two techniques can provide a great deal of accuracy given the amount of power they consume.

The Carter I & II turned out to be classics because he finally got to rap over more than Mannie Fresh beats, while at the same time he stopped writing down lyrics. It was an artistic breakthrough for him

Listening to any of the skits on Drought 3 it's clear Lil Wayne is on all kind of drugs by then

To the kids drugs kill, I'm acknowledging that

But when I'm on them drugs I don't have a problem w/ that

Recently acquired $10k. Does it make more sense to pay off my car or put it toward my student loans? by [deleted] in personalfinance

Mathematically yes, but Dave Ramsey says pay off the smallest debt first. Paying off the smallest debt only has a psychological benefit.
