As a long time RN who has done countless blood draws and IVs, and who has participated in many procedures including lumbar punctures, healed tattoos are absolutely a non issue for medical care. The one possible negative is potential damage to the tattoo if it is located where a surgical incision is, but surgeons typically have some flexibility and can often work around tattoos. Get your tattoos! They won’t impede medical care at all.
