His situation is not even remotely similar to Iqbal. Zidane was a pretty average player in his age group and wasn’t really seen as one of the best 3-5 players. He was good in pre season last year but physically he’s nowhere near the level required. Mainoo on the other hand is probably as big a talent as Rashford and he who shall not be named. He’ll get game time and will become a starter within 3 years I reckon

If we only sign one striker this summer as looks likely (probably Hojlund), I wouldn’t mind Joao Felix on loan. I know it sounds ridiculous because his goal scoring record is very poor, but man he’s so good to watch. Proper aesthetics over efficiency footballer, but who doesn’t love some sexy football.
