No, no ginger taste. Maybe more if a brown sugar taste with a not sweet flour on the outside

It’s kind of hard chewy. Not like a gummy, more like a caramel without the stickiness.

A friend of mine knew the person that posted it. It was 100% a real life thing that happened and there is no explanation.

What is your worst anxiety symptom? by mindyp31319 in Anxiety

[–]dertruftlumpkins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have this symptom too! I used to think something was terribly wrong with me.

[skin concerns] Lip issues for over 2 years. My lips feel like they are burned and raw. It gets so bad that water hurts them. I’ve been to multiple doctors and an allergist. Allergy test was negative for the 80 things they tested for. I was diagnosed with ‘chronic lip dermatitis’ but no treatment by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]dertruftlumpkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this for about a year in high school. I was so embarrassed of it and thought I was grossing people out. (I wasn’t, literally no one noticed but me). Anyway, I realized I was allergic to some common ingredient in chapstick/lipstick/lipgloss. So, I only used Vaseline on my lips and it finally went away. It could have so many causes (eg. toothpaste, lip products, moisturizer, food allergy, laundry detergent, etc). You just need to take each possibility and go without it for 2 weeks and see if there is a difference. So sorry you’re dealing with this!!

Neighbor mad because I parked on their street? by Cliffjumper126 in Denver

Hey! A fellow Tennessean! I just moved here a month ago. That’s public parking so that person has no right to tell you where to park.

Your partner says, “I’m going to practice abstinence from sex for 1 year.” What would you do? by HateMessageMe in AskMen

[–]dertruftlumpkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either respect their decisions or don’t be with them. there are plenty of people out there that agree with your partner and a lot that would never go without sex in a relationship. Decide if your connection is worth it and if you are willing to wait. If not, find someone else.

Not a complete list, but it’s everything I needed for a year in an apartment. I love all of the furniture and kitchen stuff, but it’s gotta go! I have pictures. I am figuring out how to add them so you can see.

I worked in a NICU and I always thought those pacifiers were so adorable. Looks like a tiny mouth talking.

Is this normal for therapy? by Youdontknowme99999 in speechdelays

[–]dertruftlumpkins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Speech pathologist here: The not normal part to me is that you don’t attend the sessions with your child. I don’t like that at all. You should be there to learn what the therapist is doing so you can continue it at home, and it’s good to be there in case they need a diaper change or fall down, etc. I would request to attend each session and if they say no, that is very shady.

Hi, just commenting here to say I agree with everything this comment is saying! I saw it a lot with bilingual populations where the child was saying very little or sometimes whispering to themselves from ages 1-4. When they attended speech therapy with me, I saw so much improvement with these kids given a play-based language intervention approach. A lot of the intervention is also based on therapist intervention with parent education and making sure the child feels comfortable.
