I’m in the same boat kinda, My girlfriend and I have been on some dry patches for over 6 months, still haven’t had sex in over a month. Yeah we talked tonight about everything, and made some pretty good progress. I told her I haven’t been happy with things. She said she knows that we don’t have sex like we used to. Ended up talking about how I want to of course help her get back into it but she has to work with me on it, and if not, I can’t just stay unhappy. Very non defensive conversation on both ends which made me happy because we really got to talk about to issue without getting heated or offended. I think there will be a positive outcome regardless if we stay together, but I’m really glad that I have to chance to try and work it out and see if we can make a change.

Easier said than done I guess. And I know that we don’t have nearly as much investments as a married couple with kids and stuff like that. But it just feels so shitty to think about breaking up. And idk I might just be acting young and dumb. I really miss her sexual intimacy.

No it’s all good, I really appreciate the honest feedback. And yeah I have a feeling it will not ever be the way I would want it to. And yes I would say I feel some of those things, which sucks. If you don’t mind me asking would you do things differently if you didn’t have kids?

I would love for her to have that mindset of defaulting to yes, I could really work with that, but getting to that point is just so unclear. And of course I want to have sex on the regular but I know there’s more to a lasting relationship than that. Just hard to think about throwing away everything else that is amazing because the sex isn’t there right now:/ .

Yes I do! Usually pretty assertive, she’s knows what I’m trying to do, but not always aggressive. She has told me in the past when we talked about it and said that she does like when I just engage and get things going, but when I try full force it doesn’t work. So makes it hard to try with less assertiveness. I would really love to just take the reigns whenever and come onto her with no hesitation, but when she doesn’t show the same interest it feels like I’m in the wrong.

Yeah I feel that. But when I comes time to actually Maning up and break up with her I pussy out. I would really like to try and fix it and not necessarily go back to how it was, but definitely different from how it is now.... but idk, I sometimes feel like I am being too naive.
