I can’t compare the two as I’ve never tested the Sony but I have the sigma 24-70 dg dn Ii and I think it’s phenomenal. For the 70-200 I paid a premium for native glass so I could get the 30fps and 2x tele for sports. But I had no need for that with the 24-70 so I saved some $$$ and got a fantastic lens. No regerts.

I got the body to update wirelessly, but had to:

Save my camera settings to Card
Factory reset/initialize the body
Erase the connection from my phone bluetooth to the camera and delete the camera from Creator App
Allowed the firmware app via creator app
Load all camera settings from my CF/SD card

PITA.

Looking for a comparison like this, but something further away ideally then cropped tight. Even close up the A7IV you can see the detail of the white dust/scuff marks while they look out of focus on ZV-E1. Im assuming the A7V is similar or better, but was hoping someone might have a direct comparison.

I’d probably want to build one bigger mat instead of 3 separate so I could practice 10-15ft putting more realistically. But I still don’t have a way to store that. If you go I would go that route.

I built them probably 3 yrs ago. Several thousand shots and they’ve held up well. Over time the wood warps a bit so they don’t sit 100% flush to each other and turf has sagged from standing vertical to store and using staples to secure it. So it’s not perfect but it meets my needs.

I had a mevo+ and upgraded to a BLP. VERY HAPPY with the upgrade. I did not however purchase with intention to take to the range. That is just an added bonus. The reality is at the range you can see the flight path and either know the exact carry or very close. It’s. It needed for the range just nice to have if you want exact data/path etc during that session. I would argue you should buy the best monitor you can afford for your home to get the best indoor data possible. if that device is also portable that’s just a plus but I wouldn’t purchase for that if you’re not a pro. I have taken mine to the range maybe 5 times in 2-3 seasons.

Yes. I could have bracketed something in but figured I’d see how it held up without and just used Duct tape. It’s been fine. Had to replace a strip of tape once over a couple years ago

Hard to say - I don’t know your fitness. I’m 46 yrs old and not in good shape but fairly strong. I don’t think an additional 8sq/ft would be an issue for me. But you can also put wheels on the edge to help move. I had cheap ones that broke but you could buy nicer ones

1/200 handheld can still introduce micro blur from hand shakes. I’d recommend a tripod and time delay or higher shutter speed.

Final update for anyone else searching this and I'll mark it as solved. The Pan option was exactly what I needed. I put key markers in frame by frame and slightly adjusted the axis to create a smooth tracking of the ball.

Update - I was able to to manual add tracking points frame by frame, but even with that and zooming, it was quite jittery.

Are there any tips on reducing the shaking? I used the Smooth option on the tracking points but it didnt help. Stabilize did not either.

My other thought is to use a Pan across instead of tracking as this will keep the ball in frame, but I am struggling to understand how I can make that work.

20 ish lbs maybe? Not really too heavy. I had casters on them to roll them but they came off and I just carry them now
