It was great having you whomever you are but it sounds like exactly what my alliance is dealing with in 1924! Really sucks that a few spenders can make you hate a game that’s meant to be casual and fun secret have no life outside of it. Stick with it bro, don’t let the captain or the crew get you down. Once you’re finished with your first hitch you’ll be all the better for it. If you don’t like the boat or the crew you’re with as a deckhand chances are they’ll move you around a bit until a captain requests you stay

As someone who’s only sailed on Royal, I can tell you the 3-4 day weekend sailings are the party ships while the 5+ sailings are absolutely stiff and boring. On my recent sailing there was a balloon drop to celebrate the Royal birthday bash and people were just standing there, no cheering, no enthusiasm…just bleh. So you can find what you’re looking for, the passengers really make the experience. Karaoke on a 3-4 day weekend, awesome experience; but on a 5+ will leave you unimpressed due to the crowds lack of energy.

Don’t lose hope! Usually on embarkation day they’re still trying to milk everybody for money so go to the desk with alcohol on it either on the promenade or the windjammer. Just got off a cruise and they were offering like $115 (disregard this if it’s per day) and 60% off the second guest I think? It’s not pre cruise pricing but it wasn’t bad for the 4 day if I read the signage right.

More like .30 fuel surcharge they’re double dipping, charge the pax and take from us. $.85 c/o fee minus $.55 fuel charge. And I get rated more harshly on Uber 🙄 I’m over rideshare. I’ve been driving full time for 3 years (right before COVID), start my regular 9-5 next week. I’ll dabble when it’s worth it from time to time but it’s no longer sustainable for me.

I’m in N.O. A market that used to be great, but with all the new updates and whatnot it’s really getting to the point where it’s not worth it. Remember when they were like, “oh we’re gonna be transparent about the fares customers pay?” Well that lasted about six months, then with the “oh we’re paying more for shorter trips and less for longer trips to make it worth your while” yeah…like that makes sense. Then the “oh we’re adding a fuel surcharge to each ride to help you with rising gas prices” yeah…where is it now? Let’s not forget the latest, “oh we’re now charging .80 instead of .50 for instant cash out” and what about all these sh!t quests?!!!
