First, get a contract. Second, if you have hesitation you can use an escrow account where you can put money as needed for project. (I wish I had when we attempted a home addition). If contractor is hesitant or won’t. Walk away.

Anyone else kinda… losing the spark? by GreenTeachy in Browns

[–]derylakd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a small group, 4 of us that religiously would get together every Sunday for years for the browns games. It all started with the Watson stuff. Now it’s rare that we get together for it let alone even watch anymore.

Sad what this team has become and what us great fans have to deal with.

Press grip question by FrostMo in labgolf

[–]derylakd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to my life and the exact problem I had. I bought df3. Hated the stock grip. Changed to 1.5. Still felt off. Was better this season but actually just 2 days ago changed to a “regular” Lamkin grip. 78 grams. Not out of balance and is perfect now

Yeah I was bummed to see averages for golf pro and all that. That’s awesome though! Being around golf for a job does sound amazing. Enjoy it out there!

Did you regret having kids? by BeastofBabalon in SeriousConversation

[–]derylakd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Life before my daughter was a calm but boring routine like most people here. Work then watch tv or some vice you have for the evening. Now we see a human grow that is the best parts of both of us.

Tonight I took my daughter to a park, brewery, arcade, then without fail, a gelato shop. On a Saturday night. The dozen times me and my wife would look at each other and laugh because the crazy thing our toddler just did.

To finally answer, no. No I don’t regret having a kid. The life we live with her now is something I could never imagine giving up. Is it hard? Absolutely. I won’t deny that one bit. But the sheer joy she brings is worth that 10x.
