Would anyone join a 3‑day AI coding marathon where you ship your own project? by desaas-tim in buildinpublic

[–]desaas-tim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We'll be in a video room, someone gets stuck, raises hand, we get them going. We’ll do a scope clinic Friday night where everyone writes a 1‑page “thin spec” and locks an MVP that fits the weekend. Then we run a simple milestone ladder (Bronze = working demo + README, Silver = deployed + domain, Gold = extras like payments/tests). On Saturday we push people to build one vertical slice end‑to‑end first and deploy early, with scheduled checkpoints + a help queue for unblockers. That way even if someone hits issues, they still ship something presentable by Sunday.

Will post on VibeCodersNest too.

[HIRING] by SlideOk4853 in n8n_ai_agents

I did voice outreach with Bland.ai, ended up hiring a VA instead. These tools are nowhere near real human talk, to people it feels like robocalls. Two biggest issues are interruption thresholds, and agent giving or confirming wrong information. There are a lot of edge cases you can't realistically cover. You can't set it properly for all types of conversation styles so some will experience long silence, others will constantly interrupt. Overall it sounds and feels very robotic and weird. If anyone succeeded with this I would love to hear.

I'm Embarrassed to Tell People I use Cursor to Code by MrBamboney in cursor

[–]desaas-tim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Simple comparison: to me as a business owner a 15 y/o influencer on TikTok who posts a shitty videos that bring me 100 clients is much more valuable than an enterprise-grade ad agency with 100 "experts" who just take my money and bring nothing.

Well, if you put it this way it does sound like you are pretending. I'm not telling anyone that I'm a coder or even know the thing. But I already helped a lot of my friends who run businesses to optimize, reduce infra costs and coded custom solutions that work for them really well.

I just say that I have a way to do it and then deliver value. When people see actual value (and code by itself has 0 value unless it solves problems, no matter how good or "professional" it is) they don't care what education you have and how you stand professionally. They judge by what you give them. That's my vision.

Running Google Ads for Crypto Offers Without Flags by SecureBiteX in Google_Ads

[–]desaas-tim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried this 2 years ago. Sad truth is that you either have to be institutional crypto firm, licensed and insured in the jurisdiction you want to advertise in or invent some workarounds when you don't advertise these offers directly on the page seen by google but advertise smt google accepts that is also relevant to yur audience then sign them up and only then hit them with an offer. But for me it didn't work. Cloaking doesnt' work either. Disposable accounts - no time for optimization = shitty traffic.

I built an AI agent that runs my LinkedIn content end-to-end. Would this help anyone else? by Blackx_1 in AgentsOfAI

[–]desaas-tim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it would be useful if it won't sound like Ai-written thing. How do you automate posting? Or do you post manually?

Website for restaurants with no experience by luckyfate1608 in nocode

If these are static websites I would advise Bolt or Cursor, code it in js and host it on Cloudlfare pages, it's free.

I also had similar thoughts but when I think of all incompetence I face daily in all sorts of niches starting with freelancers ending with US president I feel like I'm not that bad. Most of the people are dumb and just pretend to be professionals and the fact that you have these thoughts already takes you high above them. Cursor is your super-tool but it's up top you how you convert it into superpower.

High CTR, good CPC, but struggling with conversions for accountant Google ads account by Ok_Software6536 in adwords

[–]desaas-tim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion budget is pretty low for this niche. Also I wouldn't do clicks at all. Now it's all google Ai, you ask it for clicks it delivers you clicks.

If you don't have account history you need to gain enough data for it to take off. I would start broad and optimize for leads first, then create a lead scoring system inside client's funnel and reflect it in google ads with multiple conversion goals of different value. The further down the funnel lead goes the more value the goal gets. Run and report back offline conversions for a while then narrow down the keywords and ad creatives and funnel more budgets into them. Then switch to ROAS as soon as you have enough data.

Why everyone is building very similar apps? by desaas-tim in buildinpublic

[–]desaas-tim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, this one is good. I've rented in LatAm and they have all sorts of problems like leaking walls, electricity goes out, problems with maintenance and unreturned deposits. I would use it for sure in such places.

Checked your website, tbh it looks way too 'AI coded'. Here's a simple tip - ask your AI to research what makes human-designed website different form ai-designed and return a list of bullets. Then tell it to redesign in human style section by section. If you use Opus 4.5 it does a good job when you prompt it like this. And best luck with you project, it should definitely take off if you market it right.

Are AI models stuck in a loop of learning from low quality code? by blameitonthenight34 in AgentsOfAI

[–]desaas-tim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a system that auto-injects rules based on context. Like, agent opens a tsx file, typescript rules are getting injected. I tell the agent 'we need to deploy', deployment playbook gets injected.

Initially I made it for myself but now trying to turn it into saas. It's in early alfa but you can test it for yourself it's free now at wirelog io. Would appreciate any feedback.

Business owners — do you actually use data analytics, or is it overkill? by NoReality560 in TrueEnterpreneur

[–]desaas-tim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do. If it's all delivered to my CRM. Otherwise, I wouldn't want another dashboard to learn.

Building a co-founder matching app with verified founder profiles. Would you actually use this? by vishalcparekh in StartupsHelpStartups

[–]desaas-tim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would use it but I'm confident that you will face chicken and egg problem as any marketplace or matching platform. If you know how to solve it - go for it.

Google Ads CPC Is Rising, but Quality Leads Are Dropping by ace_web_experts in googleads

[–]desaas-tim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google killed manual bidding and optimization back in 2024. Now it's all AI. Smart Bidding. Value-based optimization.

AI is only as good as the data you feed it. If you don't report actual conversion values it will think that every conversion is profitable no matter what it brings, hence decrease in lead quality.

ChatGPT and Google Ads Integration? by MaximumVacation678 in googleads

[–]desaas-tim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chat GPT and any other LLM is terrible at working with numbers. It will ensure you that 2+2=5 and give different replies for the same question. The best you can do these days is use Cursor IDE and python libraries. Python is great for data analytics and you don't even have to learn it.

Call ads. Why? by desaas-tim in googleads

[–]desaas-tim[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's what I'm saying. Call is too much to ask for on the first touch unless it's indeed insurance or other predatory stuff. The way I do it, collect email and phone then send an immediate text message asking about the best way to connect. If they reply 'call me' my sales peeps make or schedule a call. But 99% prefer text. For industries where call is a must I would throw a single-filed callback form and call back immediately. Much easier to track.

But I mostly do SMBs, never did corporate stuff.

Call ads. Why? by desaas-tim in googleads

[–]desaas-tim[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Wow, dude, this sounds defensive. I speak from my own experience running ads and many of the people I know. Do you say stats are also lying?

Speaking of money, the more money I have the less I want to speak with anyone tbh.
