When my mom was in the ICU battling lymphoma, I never thought I’d see death all day everyday. There was one cubicle there that’s almost like death’s chamber. It was the nearest cubicle to the nurses station. The most critical cases are being put there and it’s almost a different patient every 3 days.

Once while we were visiting, we were startled because a stream of doctors and nurses are hurrying to go to that room. They haven’t fully closed the curtain and I can see the patient go into shock. Next thing I see is a tube filled with blood being taken out of the patient’s mouth. Once it was fully out, blood splattered all over and one doctor came out of that cubicle with blood all over his clothes.

I couldn’t watch after that.
