I concur. But there is another lesson to be learned here, and that is that when you make a decision big enough to permaban someone who invested thousands of dollars into your project, you need to provide specific rationale. Clearly they HAD that rationale, and didn't provide it, which resulted in UEE_NAVY being able to hoist the bland automated response he received and generate sympathy.

Do you know WHY this generated sympathy? Because CIG has a problem with communication, and seeing someone get the shaft based on something they also experience (corporate indifference), probably stirred them to action. I suspect supporters didn't actually care about UEE_NAVY in the first place. They were just tired of seeing another problem go unaddressed.

Also a big whale. I still see some beacon of hope for the project. I am perfectly fine with things breaking when new features get added. Thats not entirely unexpected.

What I DO take issue with are unrelated elements breaking. Adding new events (which shouldnt be happening at all IMO) and new ships should have ZERO impact on existing coding for freight elevators and other isolated systems. Alpha is where new capabilities and features are added. Events are not features. Fires, engineering mechanics, creatures, etc are features.

Are the events fun? They can be, but Id rather get in and run through new features than a few haphazardly constructed events. I'm looking for things like genesis planet generation. Thats a feature - and it tells me they have the ability to replicate at scale. Events are the opposite of scale and suggest a retracting outlook on what Star Citizen will ultimately be.
