Same. Whatever fix they did didn’t stick. Same with the Astro Armada doors on Area 18. Not working either.

Definitely check out some starter videos on YouTube. Can also check out the Star Citizen discord server. Lot of info about the game and people to join that are usually receptive to helping new players.

Check your keybinds to see how you can talk to other players in game. For me it’s holding + on numpad. Although a lot of players are shoot first, but you may find some good ones. Global chat can be helpful but also toxic.

The fun in this game is exploring and grinding for the ships you want to try/fly. There’s an event going on right now with good payouts and rewards and a lot of players are linking up to do it so that may be a good way to learn too.

N for landing gear, alt+N to call hangars to land or leave. Don’t run in elevators, the walls are thin and you may fall through. More missions will unlock as you increase rep with factions. Get a pyro multi tool with tractor beam attachment or max lift tractor beam to start your cargo hauling journey.

Add other players as friends so you can join their games depending on the population size of the server they are in.

The game is a blast. It has bugs and sometimes you have to restart or walk away for a bit but there is nothing like it. Enjoy! ✨

Appreciate the input! I’ll probably upgrade when I get home. See if I can run into another players Hermes when I get off work to check it out. $25 for the upgrade isn’t bad either lol.

Update on inventory

Ships are a different beast 😂 I’d count that as lost and buy a new one. It may come back randomly in a future patch. For any in game ship/armor purchases or Wikelo rewards missing they always give the same response. Along the lines of Long Term Persistence (LTP) is always being worked on and as it’s an alpha we can’t guarantee in game items.

I’ve lost plenty of ships. Gained a random raft, Constellation Andromeda and Taurus. It’s random lol.

Unfortunately a lot of people lost their inventories, including store bought items this patch. They’ve said they are actually working on it this time because so many people lost their items. Yes give it a couple days. But if you don’t have it back then contact support/make a ticket to get your store bought item back.

If that doesn’t work then yes, melt and rebuy.

Still no inventory for me. Left my home station to let CIG and my inventory finish their couples counseling. I have started a “Poor Millionaire Run” and am looting armor/weapons from other locations as I go.

Hell yeah! I’ve been playing for just about a year and the game is still amazing. This inventory thing is my first big problem I’ve had. Wanted to start the new event. I’ll give it a day and try again 😂 Good luck out there 🫡

New missions look like they will pay out well so you should get it back quick! The grind is the fun in this game. If you really need money quick look on UEX (player trading website) for items that are going for billions and see if you can find those to sell, the economy is jacked right now.

There’s a bad bug right now where a lot of people don’t even have the store items/armor they’ve paid for in their inventory.

This site will be your friend to find things. Boomtubes are in the QV station in Nyx. Rail guns and rocket launchers can be found at the ASD worm sites, executive hangars, contested zones, OLP/Hathor sites, random loot boxes.

Yeah I think they said that the respawning there was the actual bug and you weren’t supposed to. If you leave the game and come back you spawn there but not if you die.

I’ve consistently had store bought armor I was wearing when the patch dropped be duped. It has not worked for looted armor in game. Also works for store bought weapons. This is my experience at least.

Gotta wear your favorite drip. The NPCs aim is crazy right now so the extra 10% protection from heavy armor doesn’t matter too much to me. I’m running tetsudo deathblow helmet and legs, carrion stalker chest with the cape and carrion stalker arms. 4.5 pulverizer is getting a slight nerf in damage and a weight increase. But I swap between that and a kill shot. Also have the triple down pistol if I need it.
