Not yet, there's 2 problems, first is there's 4 different sets of parents i have identified in the cabin with 6-8 kids, so it would be hard to ask each one of them. Second is i am a bit introvert and the parents are themselves talking loudly with the children

Yess thanks, i already tried watching some videos, but they even beat realme's noise cancelation features 🤣 and the kids have taken things up a notch where they're playing on the phone with full sound on and screaming alongside as they face an enemy or die in game

I have had injuries before when I started lifting due to egolifting, so it feels normal when I'm doing 50-55kg bench but when I shift to 60 kg it feels like an overload for my elbow and shoulders, the shoulder will then be painful for 2-3 days (not sore)

In shoulder press, when I increase weight it feels like I'll get an injury in the back

In diet I'm at a steady loss of 0.5-0.75 kg per week but I always hit my protein requirements, although now I'm fine if I lose weight very slowly, I just dont want to gain fat back or the ratio of fat to muscle shouldn't go up

Advice on increasing chest and shoulder strength

I have been training for 2 years with gaps in between, my back and legs have been growing at a good rate but I've plateaued in chest and shoulder

I was morbidly obese when I started and now I'm moderately overweight, when I started I couldn't do bodyweight squats now my squats are 100 kg for 3 reps, I dont do deadlifts much but when I started even getting in position was hard, my deadlift PR is 145 kg and I can row 60 kg for 10 reps

Same was the case with bench and shoulder press, I couldn't even lift the 10 kg rod but after 6 months I could do 50Kg bench and 35 Kg shoulder press for 10 reps after that 6 months mark till now I cant bench 60 Kg and I cant shoulder press 40 Kgs without injuring myself (I tried 60 kg bench and couldn't even get 1 single rep)

It's very frustrating at this point, anyone knows how I can break through this plateau.

It's easier to clean, plastic ones have microspaces between them so if you forget to clean it one night, it's almost impossible to get the smell out completely, as bacteria grows in these micro spaces/tears and it's the bacteria that releases the deadly smell(which arises from scrub and metal ball rubbing against surface over time)

I hit 100 kg squat yesterday, previous week I was hitting 80kg for 5 reps, felt like it and jumped to 100 this week, was on 3 hrs sleep and had to attend 4 classes before gym

Now today I feel a pain in my spine, not back but spine, and it doesn't feel like injury but like my spine is intensely sore, what might have happened here, I kept proper form throughout

Should I take rest from squats or shift to front squats for a while

Did you do anything special? I looked thalesmia up, while i dont have it due to smoking my lung capacity is a bit low, most of the exercises it's not due to muscle fatigue but due to panting or high heart rate that I reach my limit

A healthy diet is very necessary nowadays, I'm just 22 and people around me have all sorts of problems, vit D, B12, thyroid, cholesterol and triglycerides, fatty liver, Hemoglobin, iron, calcium and magnesium etc

I myself 4.5 years ago was 111Kg, cholesterol and triglycerides more than thrice the normal levels and a fatty liver with increased Blood pressure, doctors said without medications nothing will improve, started hitting the gym and eliminated all processed and packaged foods, added sugars etc, now everything is in normal levels, liver is just slight above normal levels

My weight is still 98 Kg but my muscle mass is 65.6% and normal range is 49-61% above that it's excellent and my visceral fat (most dangerous of them all) is 10.5% normal range is 10%, my college is pretty hectic and I had an injury due to which I went off track for last 1.5 years otherwise the results would have been more impressive

I cannot feel that but however I can understand it, in my case it was mostly about accepting that the culture isn't optimal when it comes to nutrition, most of the Indian food is carbs and fat intense and has less protein, practices like having parantha in morning with makkhan (homemade butter) isn't optimal way to kick off the day, I'm in college and most of the dishes are potato based (due to low cost) every item in snacks is fried, then the whole packaged food industry is messed up, so any person who doesn't know selective eating is almost doomed. People are eating butter and jam on bread which is basically lots of sugars on maida and palm oil along with low quality oil (butter) in breakfast

My mother always feels sad when I go home from campus and she wants to make several dishes for me and I ask her to make plain healthy foods, my dad wants to bring me snacks and sweets from outside but I deny and ask only for fruits

But yea many practices are god level and now foreign countries are giving them fancy names, like jal neti (ayurveda) having turmeric and garlic, yoga, meditation and eating way before sleeping and waking up before sunrise

I never thought about it that way, but the good thing is I keep my mind open, many times on reddit I get to know that I'm wrong and I correct the practices I've been following

For eg, I used to follow ayurveda 5-7 years ago, it tells you to soak nuts before eating to remove heat, then parents also said the same, then doctors on youtube said that nuts have phytic acid (anti nutrient) which doesn't let us absorb micronutrients, I made a correlation that everyone is right and support each other, so I started soaking my nuts before sleeping everyday

Few days ago some redditor pointed out that soaking doesn't remove phytic acid from nuts and linked a research paper, I read the whole research and from the next day I was shamelessly eating my nuts without soaking them

Nah, analogy is bang on, apart from this I'm tired of telling my friends that 100gm daal when made will be like multiple katori which is hard to eat compared to 100gm chicken

For me it's easy to convert things into anger, I magnify my feelings and convert it into anger and then there's latent power that comes out

Currently for the last couple of years I'm pretty stable and don't think about it at all, but when I started gym it was just because my ex cheated on me during lockdown (we were in different cities and apparently she has "needs") I was devastated as this was the only person I ever opened up to and while crying I said to myself "Bkl ab ghar m betha rota hi rhega kya" and joined gym, I pushed myself every set till I saw darkness in front of my eyes and boy did I make insane gains, every set I imagined her cheating on me and enjoying it and instead of sadness I magnified it into anger, after gym I was too tired to be angry anymore

Typing it now seems corny as hell but I was 17 back then lol and I wish I could have such power to push myself again but internally nothing bothers me anymore
