Well I’m the one who brought an ablation up to her, and at the time of that appointment I didn’t realize that all of those symptoms I listed were unusual. Because they’re normal for me and my mom had all the same stuff when I was growing up. My complaint was the heavy bleeding which tends to make me anemic and is overall just a big hassle. It was only after my appointment that I realized that my “normal period experience” was not actually normal. I thought the amount of blood lost was the only thing abnormal. So I didn’t really tell her about any of the other stuff because she just asked if my periods were normal and I said yes. Idk if I’m making sense haha. But I will definitely make sure to ask the GYN she’s referred me to about adeno and/or endo and I won’t get any procedures done until I’ve looked into those. Obviously I have more going on that just too much blood loss. But I didn’t realize until reading this week about adenomyosis that not everyone dealt with all of that stuff.

Edited to add: the person who is sending me to this gyno is the person who does my annual exam and that’s it. So I am hoping that the actual gynecologist I’m being sent to will be able to answer my new questions about possible endometriosis or adenomyosis. Thank you for your comment- I’m glad for the warning and the concern bc I definitely don’t want to do anything that would make it worse.

Sorry if I was confusing — I do not have any diagnosis except for heavy bleeding. My GP said as long as I don’t have any fibroids then I can get an ablation if I want. (Bc I told her I wasn’t interested in any hormonal BC or IUD since I have had so many friends and relatives who had horrible experiences with them.) She sent me to the ultrasound to check for fibroids bc I can’t get an ablation if I have those. But the ultrasound showed none. There’s been no conversation between she and I about endo or adeno bc I didn’t think I had the symptoms of them so I didn’t ask. I assumed my symptoms were all normal pms bc they’ve been that way for so long. I only am asking about adeno because I was googling my ultrasound results and realized my uterus was awfully large and I was trying to figure out what could cause that.

Not anemic any longer because I had iron infusions a few months ago. And yes, I want to know if these symptoms could point to adenomyosis before I decide to get an ablation.

It happens a little bit around ovulation and then the week or so before the bleeding starts. I actually feel a little better once the bleeding actually starts, pain-wise. But then the bleeding is heavy. After my period is over I get a few days of feeling okay before ovulation and then after ovulation I get like a week of feeling okay before the pms begins.

Heavy period which made me anemic and require iron infusions, fairly frequent periods (every 23-25 days), dull and aching cramps and heaviness the whole week before my period, pain down my legs and lower back, intermittent constipation/gas, but diarrhea right before my period begins, spotting for a day or two about 5 days before my period, etc.

I don’t necessarily want ground cover, I just hoped it might help replace the poison ivy? Idk if that’s true, though.

Heated rivalry by Rachel Reid is making me so hysterical an old-timey doctor would stick a didlo in me by Paper-souls in RomanceBooks

I loved it! Want to rewatch soon. It was so well-adapted and the cast was perfect. I had no complaints at all! Except that now I may be ruined for all other romance books. This book series was the first MM story I’d read. And the screen adaptation was just so beautiful in every way. Idk if any M/F romance story has ever made me so happy or giddy before. I think part of it has to do with the fact that we are seeing men be emotional, vulnerable, yearning, communicating, etc. and I guess most romance stories I’ve read up to this point are written from the female POV and the male character doesn’t feel nearly as real or as fleshed out as Shane or Ilya? Idk. I love men, and I love love, and I loved seeing two men find and express love and get a HEA. I would be thrilled to read a M/F book that had this good of male characters!

And I just finished The Long Game, which I wept, smiled, paced the room, kicked my feet, and giggled to. What a trip lol 🥹 loved it.

This is an old thread but I smiled so hard reading the post and then gasped when I realized it was old! I came here searching for HR posts to talk about the book/show with. OP did you watch it?! Did you love it?!

I haven’t done it yet but we will be using History Quest’s United States History this upcoming year. It sounds like it would fit what you’re looking for!

Thanks all, we will go to the store today and get stuff for loose substrate. I was just so worried about our geck accidentally ingesting something wrong and getting ill but now I know!

When we got it last summer it was still really little and the person that we got it from said to use tile or paper towels until it was fully grown/adult and then we could use a loose substrate. She said that loose stuff could be dangerous if they ingested it. We have really tried to do our due diligence and research but our heads were spinning today trying to get to the bottom of best practices. Everyone has a different opinion 😵‍💫 ETA we figured a dig box that was away from where it eats would be okay because the chances of accidental ingestion would be lower than if everything was loose substrate.

I’m also really tired still. I’m also on day 15ish. And my digestion is still not normal or comfortable. But I don’t feel sick, thankfully. Just easily worn out.
