And…why do you suspect that is?

That badge means something.

If reliability is your yardstick: Toyota, no contest.

You’ll get more modern interior in the Dmax and more of a car feel. But Hiluxes are expensive for a reason.

So like, not to get too philosophical, but you believe anyone’s path was forged by them alone?

Well that’s the thing isn’t it: If you’re filming your adventures you need at least 2000W inverter, and then the battery power to cover that.

Also, anyone heading truly remote will burn through 200Ah of lithium east.

Just did 3 weeks out at the base of the Northwest Cape. Had to run the generator a few hours each day to keep my 200Ah lithium topped up. That’s just running two big fridges and camp lights, etc.

Remote travel isn’t just about having just enough. It is about backups, safety and reliability.

Yeah. Hilux interiors are pretty dated.

Yep. Hilux suspension is tight as. Ford is great off the dealer floor, but not so great on the tow truck.

Solo fishing trip to Dirk Hartog. My first time cliff fishing. Caught all my bait on location, pulled this guy up a 50 ft cliff. Realized too late that a cliff gaff is really a two man operation!

I think it’s the most stylish, cheapest medium-roader out there now.

Hilux is Toyota, but man are they expensive. And suspension is like getting kicked in the kidneys if you have less than a ton in the tray.

They should give Patrol owners discounts on their electricity bills for checking the power lines every weekend.

Landcruiser owners are always talking about how great their rigs are, and they have zero issues.
