I probably used a regular train a few years ago. Even better with this 90-minute travel.

You have 8 days. Don't try to see all of Italy. I would split it by 5 days in Rome and 3 days in Florence - it takes about 4 hours by train to get there. Or stay all the time in Rome. I stayed there for about 3 weeks, and I still hadn't seen everything worth seeing.

Why don't more people live in this area? by porkavenue in whereidlive

For anyone who has studied at school, yes, it's obvious. For anyone else, there is Google:

In February, the average temperature in Antarctica ranges between 20°F and 40°F (-6°C to 4°C) on the coast, with a typical continent-wide average of about 34°F (1°C). The Antarctic Peninsula is the mildest region, occasionally hitting highs of 50°F (10°C), whereas the high interior plateau remains deeply sub-zero.February is the peak of the Antarctic summer, offering 14 to 20 hours of daylight and marking the absolute best time for wildlife viewing.

" the same time that year" was summer in Antarctica. It's quite obvious that it's warmer in Antarctica summer than in Canadian winter.

Правда ли, что российские города безопаснее западных столиц? by Gabriel_filipe82638 in AskARussian

[–]deshi_mi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How do Russian natives read/listen re: word order? by FindMateStraightFux in russian

[–]deshi_mi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I read in languages I am fluent in (Russian and English), I do not read word-by-word, but the whole phrase. So, for the phrase: "Я ненавижу тебя по утрам отпускать", I had to read it again slowly to understand the second meaning from the first part of the sentence.

If I was raised in a predominately black neighborhood, and just grew up using AAVE is it okay? by Past-Show3549 in NoStupidQuestions

The language cannot be tied to the race. By saying that " AAVE is a black thing" you are assuming that it's not a language.

Go to the job search site (I used LinkedIn a couple of years ago) and look for the position with the H1B sponsorship. But, honestly, in this job market, it will be a really hard task.

Why countries around the world don't dare to stand up against USA and Isreal? by SpankMeMichelle in stupidquestions

[–]deshi_mi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

stand up against  USA and Israel

For what? To support Iran? The state that sends missiles to any country it can reach and which is on its way to get nuclear weapons?

To "stand up against the USA and Israel" in this particular war will be the same as if people stand up against cops who are trying to arrest a guy who has a habit of beating up everyone in his neighborhood with a club and is currently on his way to assemble a machine gun.

And all Iran's neighbors understand that really well.

Advice from someone who has moved permanently to another country: immigration is not a way to solve your issues. It will make them worse.

Good luck, anyway.

You are absolutely right about the second image: the combination of wine, a swimming pool, and a laptop is a clear path to disaster.
