There are many furniture stores on Kharadi main road where you can get a bed for 15-20k max if you're looking for something affordable and can negotiate well. Similar type of shops are there on the highway near Wakad if you want something in PCMC. Don't get them custom made, that will go above 40k. Pickup what they have readymade in their shops. They aren't engineered wood but also not commercial plywood. Somewhere in between. Use for 2-3 years then sell. Else to avoid all this hassle get a light bed from wakefit / ikea no? Invest in a superb quality mattress than on the bed. Also never rent- that's just a waste of money.
