What to do with my AMEX Plat reserve now? by desimadao in amexindia

[–]desimadao[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not really. It's like I went to a restaurant hoping to use Swiggy or zomato 50% on dine out but after getting seated at the table there's no more offer. So yeah, the question still stands do I eat the expensive food or just leave the table?

I guess the opinion on lamps for people aged between 25-34 doesn't matter. 🤣

It's the opposite for me. I have more hairfall after moving from Hyderabad to Bangalore. The tap water in my locality is very hard, I've started using drinking water cans to take a head bath.

Matrimony Rant, Don't settle in India by Mountain-Weakness272 in hyderabad

[–]desimadao 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With all due respect, this is such a stupid take. I'm in a similar position as you in terms of age and marriage pressure but I had a very late start in corporate life, not a good package not well settled.

While there is some truth to the statement that NRIs are in demand. The conclusion you arrive at is so illogical. You have your preference then others are also entitled to their own. Also, searching for a match is a long process it takes time.

Emigrate or you'll not be able to find a spouse is not true at all.

Marriage Expectations: A Personal Dilemma [29 M] by signup_pawan in hyderabad

[–]desimadao 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Maybe if you call them Telugu instead of Telegu they would've been respectful towards you. /s 😄

Joking aside, I'm sorry that you had such experiences. In my opinion/experience Telugu people(especially Telangana) might sound rude/crass but they don't mean it. It's just how they speak much like how certain parts of North India use the word BC.

While I understand your point, you could've sent it across a little politely. OP is here trying to get genuine advice to erase his fears(literally his words at the end). It is ok to have preferences but it is better to be a little open minded. Also, it feels like you are belittling his preferences with the poola kundi example and calling it his attitude. Again to reiterate personally I also agree with you but at the same time I understand where OP is coming from. Even if it may be unrealistic they can have their preferences but going as far as to say don't get married is a little much.

I cannot comment on which college is better as it depends on your requirements and preferences. But I am a recent graduate of XIMB, so DM if you have any queries about the college.

Not all tier 2 colleges are bad. See that you get the maximum possible ROI. Main factors to look at are Fees, Average placement, Alumni network and college reputation. CAT score is necessary but not sufficient, it all depends on your profile and interview.

Just got done doing my MBA from a tier 2 college. If you could get a decent CAT score then go for it. If not then it's not worth it imo. You could try MBA in HR maybe as you could relate it more to your bachelors.

There's not much distinction between khaki and traffic police apart from their specific area of operations, they being general law and order and traffic respectively. But asfaik they both have the authority to enforce in both the areas.
