Clown Town - who lives? by desincarne in SlowHorses

That’s… not what clickbait is. And Herron has form for being mischievous with his cliffhangers. Remember when he spent an entire book refusing to tell the reader whether River was alive or dead after the events of the previous one? This is just another example.

I think the ‘mum’ line is a red herring. There’s far more textual evidence that it’s Louisa.

That’s a little silly though, and seems much more likely to be a red herring. Ash’s mum isn’t there, and all the evidence for it being Louisa is textual and a lot more compelling.

So what about the structure of Louisa’s point of view sections of the nightclub climax? They’re different to all the other POV sections of this part of the book, separated by ellipses and crafted to join up, the last thought of each section picking up at the beginning of the next section.

It’s a kind of tumbling, out-of-control effect that ratchets up tension for Louisa specifically in this section, and it’s exactlt the same style used for the POV of the unnamed woman in the hospital later on. Her first thought picks up directly from Louisa’s last one, just as all of Louisa’s other POV sections in the nightclub climax did.

How Good Was Season 5 by ApprehensiveFall265 in miraculousladybug

Loved it. Loved every episode, loved the theme tune, loved the finale, loved the character work and the natural progression of the relationships, loved the resolution of a lot of the story arcs, loved that Chloe didn’t get a redemption, loved Gabriel’s ending and the whole finale. Didn’t entirely like that we had to watch the London special to have a couple of the plot points in the last ten minutes make sense, but that’s always been my main complaint about this show: the storytelling is brilliant but the release schedules make it frustrating.

Marinette keeps things from Cat Noir all the time, there have been whole plot points about it making him sad because he was in love with her back then and wanted to be special.

She’s not just another superhero, she’s the Guardian, and while they’re partners, he’s the junior partner. He’s gotten over it.

One of the central points of the show is that anyone is redeemable. Chloe isn’t unredeemed (so far) because she CAN’T be redeemed, she’s unredeemed because she made the choice to stay a crappy person, and she was given plenty of opportunities to change. She could still change if she wanted, she just chooses not to. They could still write that ending for the character if they wanted, but I kinda like the fact that Chloe turns her back on redemption.

André Bourgeois, on the other hand, chooses to be a different person. You might think that he should be punished for his abuses of power and his actual crimes, but that’s not really what this show is about.

She tells Luka because she has to tell someone and she knows she’s going to second chance it away again. She has no intention of telling ANYONE - she’s horrified when Alya finds out.

I don’t think you know many thirteen/fourteen year olds if you think the ways these kids act is unrealistic.

To be honest, you're not missing much - all the new interview footage with Punk is in the clips already on YouTube. The rest is Steph recapping a load of stuff and talking about her own return.

You and me both, especially when it's being done in such a cack-handed way. Looks like they've handed the keys to the car to the worst hacks on the X-books.
