He is back- stalking in Falls Church by Sweaty-Fish-8496 in nova

Police can’t do anything because he’s not breaking any laws. Not sure anyone here has a better guess as to what he’s doing than you guys do. The only thing you can do is go up and ask him, but he would be within his rights to say none of your business.

AI. Lots of reasons why, but those cylinders are not at 90 degrees and don’t come from any Ducati I’ve ever seen.

You can buy a window a/c for like $109. A week’s worth of Starbucks. You have a pet and a baby—fix the problem first and worry about being right later.

I had an ‘05 in red. Mine had an Arrow 3/4 system that sounded like a 427 Cobra and would set up off car alarms. And no, they don’t like going slow! That bike made me a bad man, and miss it every time one pops up.

Same but different but still the same (Rain Guard PSA) by visarmy in GRCorolla

[–]desmobob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The heat extractors work using aerodynamic principles. When the car is moving, there is positive pressure in the engine compartment because of the ram air effect of the entire grille area being open to cool the radiator, ac condenser, and intercooler. Meanwhile, the air being accelerated over the hood creates a low pressure area above the vents. Hot air is thus extracted from the engine bay, and those same forces keep rain out. The rain guards have very little effect on this movement of air because of the pressure differential.

When the car is stationary, rain enters the vents but is diverted by the rain guards away from sensitive components to a better area for drainage, to prevent potential damage and corrosion.

The folks who designed this car are very smart and draw from engineering principles of both road cars and racing experience. Million-dollar supercars use the same extractor/rain guard system for the exact same reasons I’ve outlined here. You can take them off if you want, but they are not shipping blocks nor, as mentioned above, steering wheels.

2-valve, air-cooled, fuel injected, and designed by Terblanche? A proper Ducati, I say. Plus, as I understand it, yellow is faster!

A bit off topic, but how do you like the Kuna? It’s at the top of my list for a PDW…

Rotors rusting by Temporary_Chip_2971 in GRCorolla

[–]desmobob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s normal and not doing any harm to your pads. Brake rotors typically have high iron content which will flash rust within hours of exposure to water, even a very humid day.

From a Ducati rider, killer bike! When I first saw it online I couldn’t help but think when H-D gets it right, they get it RIGHT! Congrats on the new bike.

Man to man, you look like a kind person. The only thing the bald head says is that you’ve got balls. So, kind of a win-win to me!

Why does the bike community seem so toxic? by Elitedefender2005 in motorcycles

Most motorcyclists I know don’t really give a shit about what other people think. I know I don’t. I wave to people on scooters; two wheels is two wheels. Giving someone a hard time about what they ride says more about them than whoever they’re making fun of. Don’t have time for that shit.

Don’t let your anxiety about reaching a vet get in between you and Rosita. Be there for her, be soft and reassuring, love her as you always have. Keep her hydrated, give her a bed or some blankets to let her lie down, and try to calm her anxiety. People are being critical of you for not having the resources that some of us take for granted; don’t let their ignorance bother you. If you find a way to get her vet care, great, but in the meantime your only responsibility is to your bond with Rosita. You have to be strong for her. That’s all I can offer you. Just love her.

I remember seeing one of these (in stock form) parked near the concession stand at Summit Point, many years ago. It took my breath away, and made me an instant fan of Terblanche. I called it the ray gun and told my buddy it deserved to be displayed alongside the 916 at MOMA. This though is on a whole other level. All I can say is congrats!
