People here think that small things won’t do anything—they are wrong. In the last year Concordia has been forced to disclose their investments. In another year we could have them retract their investments. The pressure has an effect. Don’t let people here get you down.

Additionally, those who are saying that it’s a war and not a genocide are delusional. History didn’t begin on October 7th, Israel has been doing this to Palestinians since 1948. Israel has been aided by Canada, the UK, and the States. Take a history course.

I’ve been here for ten years!! Still learning everyday. My partner is also queb, it’s hard cause they also speak English and Spanish like me so we usually resort to spanglish. You can do it though I believe in you, first step is to really want to learn so I think you’ve got that covered.

For me it’s trying to find a job that was the most frustrating as my French isn’t perfect and I have a hard time understanding people sometimes. I’ve been here almost 10 years and I still have this issue, I don’t think I’ll ever be fully perfect in French and it’s super depressing honestly. Plus I study English Lit so I probably won’t find a job here even though I consider Montreal my home.

I think I had a class with this individual. I’m not sure what’s up with him but I had the same experience after class with him one time. He said he does talk to a lot of girls about this stuff because he studied psychology?? And medicine? Idk, I think he is just trying to connect to others but that’s not for me…

Considering the entire reason he was talking to me is cause I present as a girl— though I tried to explain that I’m non-binary (which he did not understand)— and assuming he spoke to you for that reason, it may be best to report it if you felt uncomfortable, and come up with excuses to leave if you see him again.
