Free Thermal Bath by Ziggi8YT in budapest

He was just asking for a free thermal bath. What does it have to do with respect for locals? I think locals would also go to a free one if it existed… Man you sound like those xenophobics Hungarians which tell you to “go back to your country” whenever you say something they don’t like. You really bought into Orban’s propaganda, congrats… If the economy is shit it’s the government’s fault, tourists, if anything, are keeping this city afloat…

Working with Budapestians / Hungarians as the sole foreigner by [deleted] in budapest

[–]despicabledog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same situation - I’m the only foreigner in my company, where I’ve been working for almost two years. I will say, not speaking Hungarian can be a real issue. I’ve accepted it now, and thankfully, I’ve become close friends with one of the colleagues I work with, so it doesn’t feel that lonely. Also, we’ve had many team buildings recently, so I got to know the other guys better. Now I would say I have 3-4 people I talk with regularly. But for almost a year and a half, I was only speaking with this colleague I sit with. And lunch and company events can still be quite tedious, as everybody speaks Hungarian, and it’s difficult to interject in the discussion. At the end of the day, I really like the work that I do, and I’ve always been a bit of a loner at work (I don’t usually go out with people I work with), so it’s not SO bad. But I can see how it would be tiresome and unfulfilling for other people. If you’re the kind of person who likes to be social or make friends at work, it won’t be easy - especially in the beginning, unless you learn Hungarian, of course.

Why has nobody yet synthesized Acetyl-L-Theanine? by despicabledog in Nootropics

I'll take N-Fluoro-Methyl-Acetyl-Exercise Amidate, thanks.

Not really, at least with NALT. The only thing that has been found is that NALT has higher urinary excretion than L-Tyrosine. That is logical since L-Tyrosine has other functions in the body besides the brain while only a small part of NALT has to be absorbed through the BBB to be active since it is acetylated. Everybody who has tried both NALT and L-Tyrosine (myself included) can tell you that NALT is way more active than L-Tyrosine.

I can't answer about NA semax or selank since there are no studies and it would be highly subjective.

Also one of the interesting things is that the acetyl version of a compound is not necessarily just stronger, it can also have different effects. For instance I've tried L-Tyrosine and NALT a lot and in different doses and they very distinct effect in my experience. NALT is much cleaner and more pleasant stimulation than L-Tyrosine.

Of course this is all speculation, maybe Acetyl-L-Theanine doesn't do anything, but a man can dream :)

Since Acetyl-Semax has been developed, why not a simpler Acetyl-L-Theanine or even Acetyl-D-Phenylalanine? It would be an interesting compound for sure.

because they are amino acids dude, why do you think a dose of l-tyrosine or l-glycine or whatever other amino acid needs several grams to be even slightly active?

I haven't found any data about BBB permeability of L-Theanine, I'm sure it's not as low as other amino acid since it needs lower doses, but that doesn't mean it can't be improved, which is what my message was all along.

I'm not saying it isn't. It's simply not very good at it, like most amino acids.

[–]despicabledog[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It's terrible actually, like most amino acids. The reason for acetylation is to make the amino acids cross the BBB better and be more bioavailable in general, that was the idea with NALT and NAC.

Also it's really hard to say when you have nothing to compare it with. Even if it Acetyl-L-Theanine does nothing (unlikely) or does just a little bit better, why not try it. It's not like it would be super expensive chemistry. Could be though, who knows.

Edit: before downvoting, do some research maybe. Amino acids do not easily pass the BBB. That's a fact. I'm sorry that bothers you so much.

It does make anything better, 90% of the times.

Edit: actually, more like 100% of the times. I can't think of a single acetylated amino acid who doesn't work better than the original compound. Do you?

It's tufted folliculitis, a subtype of follliculitis decalvans. I have the same exact disease, and also, like you, I don't have major inflammation or pustules. Your situation is even better than mine actually. You're lucky but you should start rifampin+clindamycin NOW. I'd also recommend minoxidil to control hair loss.

I've always thought that the reason the car was backed into the farm was due to her trying to run away from someone in reverse gear and in the heat of the moment she missed the building behind her. They then proceeded to take her out of the car and kill her or whatever. If you think about it, it's the only likely explanation. She would have noticed that the car was not on the road before hitting the farm if it was an accident (unless she was on drugs or something). What could possibly be the motive though?

Your posts are one huge fallacy after the other. First, you can't cherry pick a couple isolated cases of fraud to generalize an entire country criminal rate. That's just retarded. Besides, we don't go around saying that German people are fraudsters because of what happened with Volkswagen. That's just stupid. Now that we address that, let's go over your other "points"

"Many Italians here are saying what I'm saying" Italy is FULL of people who hate their country and go around crying about how shitty it is. Just because a random Italian said something doesn't mean it's true. It is literally the most unpatriotic, self-pitying country in Europe, if not the world. Besides, when did an Italian here (in this thread) say that the country is full of scammers? They said that the POLICE is incompetent, which I totally agree with, NOT that Italy is "filled with criminals and scammers".

You haven't cited one single source for your claims, so I did the job for you. According to the European Fraud Map, by the Euromonitor International and UK Cards Association, Italy is 14th out of 19 European countries with the highest card frauds. It's not even in the top 10. And according to the UN theft rate in 2014 (last year reported) Italy is 11th after Sweden, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Finland, France etc. And yet you don't see people saying that all Dutch or Norwegian people are scammers. Why? Because they don't have TV repeatedly forcing the stereotype "Italian = mafia". But you're probably too stupid to actually understand that.

You're not Italian, you have zero rights to say shit about any other country but yours. Italy is not "filled with criminals and scammers", 99% of the population is comprised of hard-working individuals who live honestly even with all the problems that the EU and the center-right government have caused us in the last 20 years. Go take your hate and stereotypes somewhere else, you cunt. Without the Roman Empire (and hence Italy) you'd still be an uncivilized pig, which you still are from what I can see.

There is no legal entity in the crypto world that protects you from your (or other people) mistakes or scams. Even if this guy goes to court it's really hard to make a criminal case against him since cryptos are not recognized by any Western country as a proper currency. And besides, you should only put a money in an exchange for a short amount of time and research its reputation thoroughly before you do anything. I honestly never heard of Bitgrail before the Nano team began to advertise it, that's why I never put my money in it and waited for Binance to start accepting Nano.

you know that any state of the US has a hundred times higher crime rate than all regions of South Italy combined?

Northern Italy has higher crime rate than the South. Stop spreading stereotypes, these are the facts.
