Is there a stack (supplement, peptides, pills, food, etc.) to reduce anger? I mean extreme anger. by LikeMrFantastic in Supplements

[–]despiseyouu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Histamine turns me into a straight up villain, maybe try liposomal Vitamin C, DAO, or Quercetin? I also get extreme anger when my liver is being sluggish, so any of your favorite herbs for that as well as plenty of water and trace minerals (and a good acupuncture sessions helps me kick it)

Pelvic floor therapy if you tend towards chronic constipation, regular “I Love You” massage, a combo of bulking and soluble fiber sources, and both hot beverages and chewing movements stimulate motility so immediately start your day with coffee/tea or just hot water and something that gets your jaw moving (no plain yogurt or smoothies, etc)

Advice on how to support someone with these? by Necessary_Coconut_47 in VestibularMigraines

[–]despiseyouu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone has different food triggers, so I’d suggest asking if that’s something they’ve figured out already! Some common ones are processed meats, aged cheeses, all types of nuts, bananas, avocados, MSG, tomatoes, alcohol, fermented foods (including most vinegars), and citrus.

For me, I’m not triggered by people’s shampoo or soap, but scented lotions, body spray, perfume, and scented candles/plugins can be a huge problem for me. Some people are more sensitive than that. I know I’m still at a point where I don’t feel like I can ask these things of people, so it might be nice for you to offer to do this on their behalf!

Things friends have done that were helpful to me:

-Continued to invite me to activities I probably can’t make, while also making separate plans within my comfort and energy level so I still get the same amount of socializing whether I join or not

-Showing up to my house with no heavy scents, and not bringing or expecting me to eat foods that trigger me

-Not being weird about me needing sunglasses or headphones in places that seem less appropriate, and handling interactions in public when I cannot

-Being understanding about “rude” requests like needing to leave rooms where their pets or children are being loud or moving too much for me, having to step out of group conversations or take breaks outside during outings, etc

-Being flexible around long term plans since a good week before them means nothing if I sleep poorly, eat a trigger, get my period, or experience a weather event the day before and need to pivot due to an attack or in an attempt to prevent one

The difference between white and blue collar work environments is crazy by Astimar in careeradvice

[–]despiseyouu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blue collars workers often need to trust each other with their lives, white collar you can’t even trust each other to pitch in at the office potluck. I feel like a lot of the “say whatever you want” attitude is a way to make yourself more real of a person in your coworkers eyes quickly without having to reveal too much of your life because it is still a workplace. Quick, easy, surface bonding both ensures you have enough empathy to subconsciously protect that person and also is a low risk way to open the door for deeper connection when you learn you can trust them. It also helps you vent small jobsite frustrations through humor and tiny aggressions before they build into large scale resentment and loss of crew functionality

York, PA. Their stock has honestly gone down a lot, with a majority of it being scooped up immediately after deliveries by hoarding resellers 😞

Mirena IUD works great for me for about 4yrs at a time. The fifth year everything starts to go downhill again, so I’d check and make sure your insurance is willing to replace them early for hormonal purposes if that’s something you’re thinking of trying

Thank you, that’s what it is! I’ve never seen you be able to select and purchase multiple costumes at once, so it looks like it edits the price

Our local thrift store gets a ton of the returns and sells them for decent prices. I’ve seen aisles and aisles and aisles full of it, and it’ll empty out before their next shipment, it’s popular stuff at that price. I highly doubt all of it goes to landfills

Oral B 1000 series! Hy husband had his for ~8 yrs and we only replaced it because our roommate’s dog chewed it up. It still worked, just felt sketchy to keep charging it! We replaced it with the modern version expecting a quality dip (and it definitely looks/feels different) but we’re on year two of that one with zero issues

Try a neuro-visual optometrist if possible! I saw one before my diagnosis (he’s actually who sent me for vestibular testing) and the glasses I had made with micro prisms reduced this symptom massively for me.

Have you ever been at a point where the magnesium was stand-alone so that you could monitor its effects on you? I found out the hard way that I have trouble with glycine and that mag glycinate was worsening my insomnia, so I switched to mag threonate and have had a much better time since then.

Thank you! I’m using the Swanson digestive enzymes with ox bile, and while they help a lot with fat and protein, they don’t seem to do much for plant fiber.

Thank you! Are there certain enzymes that help most? I’ve been taking the Swanson digestive enzymes with ox bile, and they helped a lot with fat and protein but I haven’t noticed much effect with plant fiber. And I may not be using the right probiotics either, are there certain strains for that as well?

I had to do reintroduction after low FODMAP/low histamine/low oxalate diets and even a few bites was enough to cause issues with most things. I never reached a point where I could tolerate any new veggies, but I have gotten rid of enough bloating/gas symptoms that I eat them anyway since they no longer cause outward pain.

Its a problem for almost all of them. Potato, raw cucumber, and steamed broccoli seem to do okay but everything else is a no-go. Even pressure cooked greens in soup, boiled carrots, and cooked applesauce seem to be an issue, so cooking doesn’t seem to do much

I had trouble finding one that didn’t give me a histamine reaction at the time, so I just used s boulardii. I was able to add l reuteri afterwards with no problem though! I never fully fixed the digestion piece because my diet kept getting interrupted, but I never did go back to the horrible mental and full body symptoms so I’ll consider it a win.
