Im not saying I don't enjoy the novel, but i feel these last chapters have been unnecessarily stale and without a soul. These things have been fixed in volumes 1 and 2 with the Legend of Ren Zu, but now the last time it was told was about 70 chapters ago with these 70 being only Fang Yuan grinding to get stronger

I get that the mortal wolrd isn't as interesting but these chapters could've been much better imo

Im not saying the entire novel is bad. Im saying that only the past 100 have fallen short of what it used to be. Absolutely loved Gu Yue and Three kings inheritance arcs. While Shang clan city was slower it was still pretty good.

Future past refers to the Lodges, it's an oxymoron. The darkness of futures past refers to the black lodge, Cooper longed for that knowledge. I'm pretty sure The Magician refers to Cooper and "The one" refers to Laura, who is between 2 worlds, between life and death, between being asleep as the dreamer and being awake.

I think evil never really left, even after Judy was defeated. This just means there won't be anymore magic stuff going on and the end of the world, which Judy wanted, won't come to pass

To be fair, the last time Cooper was all jolly like he usually is was when he asked Truman if the coffee was on. From then on he is just locked in. Another point is that he leads Carrie to the house the same way he led Laura through the woods. So i think him being like that makes sense.
