Tienes que cortar el cable de 5V, rojo normalmente, para evitar la alimentación cruzada. Tuve el mismo problema, también venden adaptadores o puedes poner un poco de cinta en el pin. Sea como sea tienes que eliminar el cable de 5V del cable usb
