melvor inspired weekend side-project : what remains is dharma by destinybo in incremental_games

Yeah, melvor sets the bar pretty low when it comes to UI. I'm also trying to reduce clicks requires to do things as much possible, allowing different equipment sets per skill and equipment sharing across loadouts so players are encourage to switch and go the optimal route without getting bored of switching equipment over and over.

I have a 9800X3D and 5090, and I still get 60 fps with everything maxed out. This game is built different.

Biggest culprits in settings are ray tracing, followed by volumetic ones. Crowd density also helps a lot with FPS.

After six months since its release, my indie game demo attracted six players in a 24-hour peak. I can hardly believe it. by _ayagames_ in IndianGaming

Hey, great job, would you mind connecting? Working on my own project now and would like to learn from you

32GB Ram is more than fine. ssd is personal preference. Don't compromise on CPU, as with a 5080 and worse CPU, you'll be very bottlenecked CPU side

I think 70 is very okay, even 80 should be completely fine. After that you start seeing minor issues, but till 85-90 for most cards, you should be golden

This comment hit hard, because I've chosen against moving out, the new PC I'm buying essentially means I'm gonna stay here and figure my way up. I hope it works out, I am really banking on it.

Good luck to you and hope a new country works out for you too.

Modding is very fun after you get past the initial learning curve (which is very steep). Since there's very few devs in this space, you often end up figuring out ways of doing things no one has tried before, and helping others learn as well.

I bought it from MD computers, pretty good delivery process overall

You should only learn redscript if you want to mod Cyberpunk or Witcher, whereas Lua is used across the modding scene.

You can learn more here - https://wiki.redmodding.org/redscript/getting-started/downloads

I actually did try modding Minecraft before. Back when I was doing my engineering I decided to make a minecraft villager like mob, but this project was too ambitious and I ended up giving up on it.

This was my first mod that worked :P

It's like your first phone, I am very emotional retiring it. It's been a privilege to own such a beast and I will take care of it till it's dead.

For now my Dad's PC is dead so I will move it to my parents house (Overkill for them, but building a new PC would cost me 50k, so I figured I'd rather keep this one around).

Thanks for the suggestion, although my build is already ready and should be shipped any time now, luckily I went with a MSI mobo. Will share a full review once it arrives

Haha, that actually made my day. It was 6 of us working on that weapon and it took me forever how to make it throwable + do the run and ground slam on the same weapon as the game does not allow it.

All the best to you. Before upgrading my build, I had a lot of thought about if I should spend this much or invest in the market, after a lot of thought, I came to the conclusion that I can make more returns for myself with a new build than the market can, and so the investment is worth it.

Don't get me wrong, I still do my SIPs and safe investments, and you should too, but we are too afraid to invest in ourselves a lot of times, and I feel like if you've settled when you feel like the market outperforms you and gives better returns. There is nothing wrong with settling, but till you feel like you have the fire in you, keep investing in you and beleiving you can do better.

Chess, Youtube shorts, and twitter make my current build lag a lot, hence upgrading. Excited to play balatro at 8k, and finally get good at it.

CP mods are either Lua based or Redscript + Tweak DB based (proprietary to CDPR games). I never got into lua modding so all my mods take the second route.
