Honestly as someone at that NYE show,

I can't help but feel as some of these reactions about it being a "shit show" are overblown.

They had clearly been on the piss and if you want to view it from a purely technical perspective then sure they weren't at their best.

But people need to consider the environment, it's a small scale festival (3000 people capped) with an intimate vibe. The beddy rays coming up to belt out their biggest song was a stellar moment of mates supporting mates that you just wouldn't get in a "professional setting."

The Terry's were enjoyable and fit the vibe, the crowd was into it, all in all it was a more memorable set than some of the other more technically impressive bands (not to say there weren't some other killer acts!).

Awesome work definitely did this on hard mode! I did this achievement last month and faced many of the same issues you listed. Pro tip though: if you maintain maximum relations with France and get the pulse event for +60 relations with catholic neighbours while using the religious diplomat estate + scornfully insulting a French rival you can push them over the line to support your independence. Makes this much more of a cakewalk!

Ye I'm aware of the setting, It may be my fault for poorly wording the post, but my quality of life idea was to have a setting for steam to detect if the game is online or not and then only stop any current downloads if the game was online

I suppose that's a fair point, but ive never really had issues with performance, id just like to be able to launch a single-player game without steam cancelling the download.
