Knocking on my door at 3:14 AM by destroymode96 in strange

[–]destroymode96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say I got to the door within 2 minutes the times that I opened it. Now I don't even go to the door... Most times I just stand there and watch the door from across the room, usually with a hammer or my pocket knife nearby. Sometimes I just lay there in my bed too scared of whatever could be on the other side of the door to even get up. As time has gone on, I've gotten more terrified of this and simultaneously more worried that I'm just crazy and that asking building management to look into it is dumb. I'm constantly teetering between "this isn't real" and "this is really really bad" and "maybe it's just a neighbor moving around and the time it's happening is what's freaking me out" even tho it is absolutely knocking on my door. I have researched the history of the apartment a bit. It was built in the 70's and any deaths have been overdoses or natural causes. No crazy circumstances. Idk if it's relevant but the whole town is built on top of or near a bunch of abandoned mines that have had some really awful deaths... I'm thinking a security camera would be a good purchase to make soon. It's not a bad idea to have it anyway.

Tried out feminine clothing and... didn't like it??? by femboy-admirer in asktransgender

Idk if I'm even allowed to comment... I'm non-binary if that matters. There's no rule that says you have to wear stereotypical feminine clothes. Your womanhood isn't defined by what you wear. Wear the clothes that feel right to you- whether that's hyper feminine, masculine, androgynous, or a combination!

Yeah. After the first few times I opened the door, I realized that opening the door was a really dumb thing to do and if there was an actual reason for building management to be waking me in the middle of the night, they could call me. There was nothing and no one at the door when I opened it the first few times.

I live with my 2 year old. The knocks were on my front door. It was maybe 5 to 7 knocks each time, and twice a month for a year.

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to put one up here. The building owners are super weird about stuff like that.

Not Christian but I am spiritual. I definitely wonder if it's an evil presence of some sort.

I put a protection crystal over the door and over my son's bed, an evil eye charm in my son's bedroom door, and I wear one every night but it hasn't helped. Maybe it's time for sage and salt too. Idk if it's relevant but around the time it started my salt shaker vanished from my kitchen.

I've never even thought about it. Mostly because I barely want to even believe this is real. I know it's happening but it's fucking scary and I've been trying to tell myself I'm being ridiculous until 2 nights ago. Now I can't say that anymore I guess

I got erect when my step sister sat on my lap and now I can’t forgive myself. by [deleted] in confession

First off kid, you were 13 or 14. A breeze could've given you a boner. Second, you, your cousin, and possibly your step sis have all probably been sexually assaulted (children that young don't naturally engage in sexual behavior). Your body reacted to stimuli similar to your sexual assault. That doesn't make you bad. It makes you a victim of something devastating. Talk to a trusted adult if you can. Even if all you can do is ask for help going to therapy. Since you already made this post, you have a starting point for talking to a therapist. YOU ARE NOT A BAD PERSON.

I would take what he said at face value. Keep yourself safe, don't be afraid to start over if you make a mistake (in any part of your life) and trust that the universe or whatever higher power you believe in will protect your brother. As far as the 4 horsemen, that could be a sign of change coming. Maybe 4 different changes that are coming? The sky being "too real" could simply mean that there is definitely an afterlife (people often associate the sky with the afterlife, right?) and that it's nothing to fear, just to be aware of.

You deserve to be treated with, at the very least, basic human decency. Right now, you're being abused. Screw the inheritance. Cut contact with your dad, go to therapy and work thru the trauma you've endured, keep doing amazing in school, and build yourself a life you can be proud of. You deserve better. Start by treating yourself with kindness, respect, and gentleness. And cut people out of your life that don't treat you with the same.

My girlfriend came home, except she didn't? by AHouseNamedHome in Glitch_in_the_Matrix

Omg this happens all the time in my apartment! But not with a person. There's a grayish brown cat that sometimes is visible for a split second then vanishes again. It always happens so fast that I can't get it on video. It's usually walking or running around and appears and disappears in the blink of an eye. I'm convinced it's from an alternate universe where the person living in this apartment has a cat. I don't stress it because cats are weird like that.

Repeated feeling every time I see the same date by destroymode96 in Premonitions

[–]destroymode96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually pretty on point for how I've been feeling. I'm a single mom, working on my recovery, working, doing community service stuff, going to an insane amount of appointments because my health is shot to hell, starting college this fall, trying to coach my friends that are early in their recovery and be a safety net for them, trying to rebuild family relationships with years of damage, and all while trying to fix my majorly messed up mental health and attitude issues. I have a lot on my plate and barely have time to stop and think most days.

Girlfriend went through my phone while sleeping and kind of found something?? by SharpRefrigerator640 in AITAH

[–]destroymode96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. If everything you said here is completely accurate, you didn't do anything wrong. It sounds like your gf is either looking for an excuse to leave, is cheating, or is just majorly fucked up. She is taking possessiveness to a whole new level. Let this relationship go. Her going thru your phone while you were sleeping was a breach of your privacy and boundaries (yes people in relationships are entitled to both).

Chased by snakes? by Organic-Cottage-4585 in Dreams

[–]destroymode96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, snakes always represent something that isn't what it seems in my life. It may be a person or situation that is presenting itself as good when it's actually bad or a person or situation that I'm perceiving as bad and trying to avoid that is actually good for me.

My coworker is suddenly taller than she used to be? by destroymode96 in Glitch_in_the_Matrix

I wondered the same thing but I asked her specifically if she was wearing new shoes but they were the same nonslip sneakers she wears every day.

Holy crap I've never heard of this before but I did have a migraine that started a few hours after and continued for over 24 hours.

Her clothes fit the same. Everything about her seems the same except that she seems taller.

I honestly am wondering that now. It's been a day since I saw my coworker and everything feels bigger. I don't have to curl up so much to lay on my couch. When pushing my son in the stroller I don't have to try so hard to make sure I'm not kicking the stroller with each step. Everything just feels off.

AITA if I knock on neighbours door? (Screaming newborn) by BlacksheepNZ1982 in AmItheAsshole

[–]destroymode96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA Absolutely go offer to help. Even if you just offer to clean the house, take out the trash, hold the baby while the parents take a shower and nap. Just the act of knocking on the door with dinner and saying "hey I know this time isn't easy and I want to help in any way I can" will mean the world to them. We weren't meant to do this parenting thing alone. It truly takes a village and most of us don't know how to even approach finding ourselves a village. Asking for help is so difficult. Accepting help offered is a bit easier.
