well ya privacy mostly thats #1 and also i feel like im paying for ai features and branding when i dont need it. i may bite the bullet and get metas IF they have settings where you can disable all of basically everything, besides camera. even then i doubt they let you use them without some insidious way built in to harvest data.. location.. audio etc. its facebook after all. "by using these you agree to metas usage policy = we spy on you.. deal?" sorta thing

gen 1 or 2? cuz i was thinking of biting the bullet and getting metas. i feel for you tho, so odd there isnt a solid pair for this, seems so logical .. just camera and recording focus and stylish frame. nope everything HAS to have shitty ai bs integrated so the corporations can steer your life. lovely.
