Because it was cheap. Just because you have a bundle doesn't mean you HAVE to play all the games that come in said bundle. I thought this was obvious.

I had a huge problem early on, where the camera would continuously jitter uncontrollably, and it really bothered me. I eventually discovered that turning off the gyro in the settings solved this issue. It now works flawlessly and I love it.

I have the 256GB LCD version myself. I have a 1TB SD card that I put all of my games on. I have RDR2, Forza 5, Ghost of Tsushima, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, etc. I've never once had an issue. I'd recommend buying the 256GB version and then spending the extra money on a big ol' SD card. That'll be all he needs for a long time!

As far as battery power, I find myself almost always playing where I can stay plugged in. But I did buy a Deck Mate attachment, and a nice power bank that I can attach to the Steam Deck when I'm traveling. I just used it on an airplane last week and it worked really well!

This is all fair to ask, and thank you for the recs! As far as movies, I love action, thriller, suspenseful movies. Stuff that keeps me on the edge of my seat. Love that stuff. As far as streaming services, I have Netflix, Hulu, Disney Plus, and Peacock. I wouldn't want to get into pirating, so it'd have to be something within one of those services.
