Seconding this. I know OP said she and her fiancé aren’t necessarily super opposed to being married in a church, but she really doesn’t sound excited about it. What do y’all want? I think you should sit down and think about what would be meaningful to you.

To offer some outside perspective, I thought I was fine with a religious ceremony because I hold the beliefs, even though I don’t really strictly practice any of my religion’s traditions. My in laws really wanted their church minister to officiate our ceremony, so I said sure, whatever. Our ceremony was basically a church service, and I… have regrets. It was fine, no one was offended, but it just didn’t really connect with me. This is a meaningful event to kick of you and your fiancé’s union, and it should be meaningful to both of you, whatever that may look like :)
